  • The laughing stock of football

Many QPR fans have used the above expression to describe their own club in recent months as they became disenchanted with the direction in which the club was going. They supported their argument by highlighting the likes of Paul Merson laughing at us on the TV.

Just around two years ago we were a club about to get relegated. Mr Briatore walked in the door and saved the day. If we win our game this Friday by our usual 4-0, QPR will be in the top two in the Championship.

Fans really do now need to start believing that Briatore and Co have had a positive effect on our club.

We are not performing bad given we are a joke club are we ?

I would hope that many of you that have brought Briatores name down (with regards his QPR activities) will have the decency to admit that you have made an error and if it is not too much to ask chant his name at a future game. It is the least that the guy deserves.

All of a sudden all of our "crap" signings are playing well.

The board have taken stick for so many poor signings, however, in my book Gianni Paldini is quickly becoming the best scout around. Just goes to show that you don't need to be a football manager to pick good players.

Finally, a word of warning to all those that are still voting with their feet (when they can actually afford to go). QPR will be going up this season. Loftus Road will have full houses next season and you will be watching your team in your rightful place ( in front of the telly). If you would like to be part of the success story buy yourself a season ticket for the remainder of the season and secure your option on an automatic seat next season also.

I said before fans need scapegoats when things are not going well. Its all history now, but the stick I got over Sousa was an example of that. I was getting told I was putting personal feeling over the club. Well, if you spend all your spare time talking about the club, doing a forum and often spending more time involved in QPR than your own family at times, then hopefully it shows for me it was never personal, it was for the benefit of the club. Along the way, I've been shouted at, abused and the old chestnut of only just supporting the club reared its ugly head more than once.

End of the day, we are now reaping the rewards of the club getting in the right players and the right management. Its 2 years into the 4 year project and I think we are now starting to fulfill thaht potential. the crowds will come back and having watched 17 goals in 4 games, I cannot see how they can stay away.

            Paul Finneys brother ?

Mate, I don't mind someone insulting me but that is very low.

The only thing I have asked of fans is to believe. Believe that the board with all their money can make a difference to our club. At the very least, don't frighten them away.

Hopefully, recent performances will have convinced them that we are now a club in touching distance of the Premiership. January is fast approching. Lets hope that they splash the cash and make our Premiership expctations a certainty.

Pete, I would add that putting on that display on National TV as opposed just Sky, will be an additional positive.

The only downside is that I suspect we will be playing a lot more of our games at non 3pm kick off times as the beeb and Sky latch on to our success.

BTW, i know you have taken a lot of stick on here so enjoy the good times.

Would have thought many more if we are in the top two and playing this type of football.

Bear in mind that there are usually at least two championship games on each week so I expect that we will be in demand.

Gonna have to fight Newcastle for TV supremacy.

They are the Man U of the Championship.
