Apologies - always been a critic but the way he bossed the midfield today was really, really impressive. Not just physically, either, he actually laid the ball off really nicely and hit some nice long passes too. One of Watson's biggest fans but on this evidence he will have to work hard to regain his place. Contrast Mahon with Savage who started well but went missing in the second half - Mahon was imense from start to finish.

Posted this earlier.. Fantastic performance holding the midfield together staying behind the ball in the centre, always wanting the ball even when marked top performance for someone who splits opinion. He has to be the best holding player in this league.
