  • Team news against derby

Derby's new loan signing Bryan Hughes goes straight into the squad to help combat an injury crisis at Pride Park.

The latest injury victim is Jay McEveley, out for six weeks with a fractured cheekbone. Kris Commons (hamstring) is also ruled out.

QPR's on-loan midfielder Ben Watson begins a two-match suspension after his red card against Reading on Tuesday.

Rangers may still be without Mikele Leigertwood (flu) and striker Jay Simpson (leg) will also be assessed.

    Head-to-head

    • Derby have not won at home to QPR since a 2-0 top-flight victory in February 1990. It is their only home win in eight league meetings against Rangers in the last 21 years.

    Derby

    • Derby have won their last two matches at Pride Park, against Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday.

    • Five of their seven defeats this season have been by a single goal; that's more than any other Championship club.

    • All four of Derby's league victories were at home.

    • If selected, Rob Hulse will be playing on the eve of his 30th birthday.

    Queens Park Rangers

    • Rangers have won their last two games in emphatic style: 4-0 v Preston and 4-1 v Reading, both at home.

    • They have earned 13 points out of the last available 18. Only Nottingham Forest have a superior return (15 points).

    • QPR have scored the opening goal this season in an unrivalled eight league matches. No club has a better first-half record than the west Londoners: they have led in eight games and conceded a league-low two goals before the break.

    • Wayne Routledge has more goals assists in Championship games than any other player (seven).

I'm more worried about Savage TBH, I hope he doesn't injury Faurlin.

Also no Simpson & Watson is a blow but Mahon & Vine are good replacements and hopefully do a job.

Well he's having a late fitness test, so I assume he won't start, but if he does then that is a bonus.

I understand that the fitness test is just a formality so he should play. I'm not 100% so don't shoot me if I'm wrong.
