Decent player but £3m is alot for someone from league 1 and out of contract in the summer.

bufoon? grow up mate... long term contract is to ensure he gets some decent money for him... i can tell u aint the brightest saying things like "lets buy beckford for 3m" but think about it, simpson is almost 21 and he aint even featured in a league game... what part of that does he rate highly? his level is championship to low premiership whichever way u look at it... i mean is he so good that hes tearing apart championship defences..? erm nope... they got van persie, eduardo, bendtner, vela, makeshift in arshavin, walcott... so hes already 7th choice... do i see any of them players leaving anytime soon!? err no... seriously next time before you comment, do some research and have a real good think.

Wenger doesn't rate Simpson that highly thats why he sent him to us on loan. If we do not buy him then someone else will he is is in the shop window and I doubt very much he'll ever play for Arsenal

Personally think we shouldn't buy him till the end of the season, if we get to the PL would he be good enough.....personally I have my reservations. He's half decent at this level but us QPR fans can be a little premature in our judgement of loan players, lets give him a bit more time to see if his goalscoring form continues.

You can't dismiss the fact he plays at a lower standard. FACT is he's unproven at this level. Many seem great lower down and then don't live up to expectations in the CCC, Freddy Eastwood anyone...?

Based on that and he only has a few months on contract, he isn't worth £3m, no way. Especially when i bet we could get Simpson, who has proved himself at our level, for £1.5m.

Fredy Eastwood: 25 goals in 42 games in League One, and then 26 goals in 3 years in the CCC

Billy Sharp: 56 goals in 80 games for Scunny in League One, 12 goals in 2 years in the CCC

Jermaine Beckford: 55 goals in 95 games for Leeds in League One, 0 goals in 10 games in the CCC

worse goalscoring record than Sharp or Eastwood, both of whom flopped big time in the CCC......quick Flav, get the chequebook out.....:chill:

                personally

personally i would buy beckford if there looking for three million give them hall valued at one million and ayegemang valued at 500 000
so 1-5 million cash and a couple of players
BUT FIREPOWER IS THE WAY TO GET OUT OF THIS DIVISION WE NEED TO BUY BECKFORD AND LEE BARNARD AND GARY HOOPER

THEN IN JANUARY I WOULD BUY WATSON MAKE HIM PERMENANT

i really dont see why we should be getting rid of ageymang and bringing in beckford ageymang is a great impact player like he showed the other night and i beleive after bagging a goal the other night he should be given a run now to see if he can do what he did when he first arrived

If Bates says 3m......lets offer 2m tomorrow with a loan agreement in place before Jan. If required lets offer Agyemang on loan for the rest of the season in return!

Tarbie do you think offering Agypants will lower the price or raise it????

Beckford's not coming to us as far as I know so no point arguing about him. Looks like we are getting a striker/s in Jan, so guess we just have to be patient.

AGAIN I will remind you he signed a LONG TERM contract in the summer so in anyones book he must be rated...or do top football clubs with excellent managers give out lucrative contracts to players they have absolutely no plans for??

                        DO YOUR HOMEWORK SON! Pfft

me thinks you are the bufoon if you think we as a club have stacks of money...the owners do the club don't.......

as for beckford...would love him here but not worth 3 million with such a short time left on his contract.......Jackson would be cheaper but would like to see Simpson stay.

Why does it have to be Simpson OR Beckford, buy them both. Lets show some ambition.

4 seasons ago, when he was 20, and trying to break into the Leeds team.
I know he played a handful of games, the season they were relegated.

Then went off to Scunny on loan.
That's where he made his first impact.
