i went to a game, think it was derby?or maybe forest in the seventies away cloughie was the manager.we got absolutely hammered in the 1st 20mins;don't think we went over half way ended losing 4-2 if my memory is right or maybe it was 4-0
Was at the 5-1 in '75, was also there the year before when we got beat 5-2. Stan beat half their team (or so it seemed) to score our second right at the end of the game but in view of the size of the defeat nobody was bothered!
Anybody else remember that one?
Also remember that game in 69-70 "Don't cry Mackay, don't cry Mackay" as Marsh ran Dave Mackay ragged!
Great old clip, thanks for that, don't think I've ever seen one that far back of the Rs. The old stand - SA Rd? - actually looks quite big. Must have had a fair old capacity.
I was at that game cheated for the equaliser got beat 5-0 in the replay. We only had ten men for most of the match George Powell off injured no subs in those days!!!!.Stainrod average gates in those days 24,000.
