Pete I am not one of the Sousa-ista particularly or someone who has ever insulted you; indeed, for the record I have defended you on many occsions and thanked you for your great website and your inside news. I am also aware that this is your website and just as I try to be polite to a host in a private home, so on a public website. Further, I also have a soft spot for Gianni and - with a few reservations - think he has done a hugely important job for our club.
In short, I cannot be lumped with usual suspects. So I carry no agenda when I say "please give it a rest." You are like someone picking at a scab. You - quite rightly - accuse the anti-Pete anti-Gianni brigade of getting boring; don't you think it might be an idea if you had a quiet think about whether you might now be in danger of having the same charge levelled against you?
Oh, and for the record I think Gianni has had a broadly excellent record on transfers for the budget available. Two of Sousa's choices have also been really good (Routledge and Lopez). Gianni has chosen the odd lemon, and if Sousa had got Fallon so wd he. Hell, so has Alex Ferguson. The main problem with transfers has not been who we have signed but who we haven't. And that is not Sousa's or Gianni's fault - its the board's decision not to spend enough money. So PLEASE - let us move on.

We are unsure whether Sousa has the skills to bring the best out of certain players. We know De Canio brought the best out Agyemang, Coyle has brought the best out of Steve Thompson. Both of these strikers are not regarded as world class but have done a decent job under a certain manager.

Like the Borrowdale situation we will never know if any player is a success unless they actually play for the club.

99% of people would choose Leroy Lita over Fallon but that doesn't mean that Lita will be a guarantee success.
