  • Vine and Agyemang

Not much has been made of this in all the hysteria following the Reading game but I think it's great news for us that Vine and Agyemang got in amongst the goals on Tuesday night.

Unfortunately being based all the way out here I haven't been lucky enough to witness any of our recent hot streak but by all accounts Vine (while he is still not the player he was) has been very unlucky not to get on the score sheet before Tuesday. Perhaps this goal will kick start his season and see him in the goals more often.

As for Agyemang, we all know that he is a confidence player. Remember his first 10 games for us.....he looked out of this world. I hope he finds a bit of confidence and a bit of form to give us a good attacking option off the bench!

    Come on you R's!!!!!!

Dexter are u out of work?
No offence I just don't see u as an office type and you seem to be on here quite alot lately. Is that why you can't go to any rangers games?
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I think he's playing for his Rangers career which if this is the case, he fills me with confidence as he really looks like he wants to be part of this.

Was it not reported some time ago that Vine refused to go out on loan as he wanted to stay and fight for his place. If true, well done to him, and I hope he gets back to his very best....

                I believe so mate.

It's very pleasing to see as I've heard we may still be looking to ship him out. No branston, HP, Heinze involved...just talk I'm hearing from various fans. Personally, I feel it would be a mistake to let him go. HH, The Pellican and Pat are the ones I'd lose first.

Just think, Simpson, Vine and two from...

                Morrison
                Hooper
                Beckford
                Best
                Fryatt
                Ameobi
                Kamara

Yes, some unlikely names mentioned, but you don't ask...you don't get.

Backup/replacement for Borrowdale and we're a force in this league.

Agree with Benny. We have a team at the moment which is difficult to get into because we are playing well so signing any player will raise the competition for places even higher. More competition and more quality can only be a good thing.

Agree entirely with that. Any two of those strikers plus Watson and another defender and nobody cd then turn round and blame shortcomings in the squad for not going up.

Wonder how Best wd be received - didn't he turn us down for Brighton once and the article in which he was v dismissive of us was pinned on the dressing room door to gee up the players???

No, I think that was that little maggot Leon Knight?!

Best is the lad we had on loan from Southampton and scored one in seven games...

Doing well this season at Coventry too.

ameobi - wouldn't be up for sale
                        best - no thanks
beckford - leeds wont sell, he too important for them
morrison - not good enough for us
fryatt - id have him but would cost a few mil easy
kamara - also would cost a a few mil but would defo be worth the money but i cant see fulham letting him go

hooper - hes the only one out of this list that i think weve got a realistic chance of getting at 1 - 1.5 mil

Vine is a good player and is slowly finding his form again after an horrific injury. He plays with intelligence and often looks to keep possesion or set a team mate up, rather than just hit and hope.

He has never been a prolific scorer, mainly because he drifts out to the wings too much, or is sometimes selected to play as a winger, but if it hadn't been for the woodwork or good saves, he would have scored a few more so far this season.

I am glad he insisted on staying and was always in favour of him doing so.

Vine missed 2 easier chances before hand, but took his goal well.Pats goal was a funny one, goalie was all over the place, but at least he didnt miss!.Vines goal was more important in my mind,as he is far the better player, only lacking in confidence.

Best and Morrison not good enough, yet both have more goals than any of our players and in a worse side. No pleasing in some but I'd take both of them in a flash.
