Who would make your top ten for 2010 onwards? With only one full season of the decade left we can probably look back and come up with a list that is unlikely to be challenged by anyone we see next year (sadly).
I've come up with the following list of candidates that I feel will be the most popular:
Paddy Kenny 2010-12 / 81 Appearances
Very popular figure during his two years at the club. Set a record for most clean sheets during the championship winning season if I'm remembering correctly and picked up the player of the year award. Some might say harshly treated in the summer of 2012 when he was replaced by Green and Cesar.
Jamie Mackie 2010-13 & 2015-2018 / 131 Appearances
Not much was expected of Jamie when he arrived at the club but Neil certainly knew what he was doing with his signing. Has served the club well during two different spells, although very unfortunate with injuries during both. Was in the form of his life before his 2010-11 season was cruelly cut short, but bounced back to give us some brilliant memories during the two seasons back in the Premier League that he featured in.
Charlie Austin 2013-16 / 89 Appearances
Goalscorer! Not sure much more needs to be said. Didn't take long for him to hit his stride after joining and he did exactly what it said on the tin. Some wonderful goals among the many he scored during his time here.
Adel Taarabt 2008-15 / 164 Appearances
Simply superb during the championship winning season and although he didn't live up to this standard in the years that followed he was still capable of producing those moments of magic.
Rob Green 2012-16 / 128 Appearances
Established himself as the clubs number 1 in his second season at the club. Prone to the odd mistake, but can't overlook his contribution to the side during his time here - especially in the playoff final when he kept Derby out on a number of occasions.
Clint Hill 2010-16 / 185 Appearances
Not sure any player in the last decade got the club and fans like Clint did. If you had to pick a 'Mr QPR' from the last ten years then Clint would probably spring to mind. Many were underwhelmed when he was brought in during the summer of 2010, but yet again Neil knew what he was getting. His time at the club was thought to be over a little over a year after joining, when he was sent out on loan to Forest - how wrong we were.
Matt Phillips 2013-16 / 94 Appearances
An exciting signing in the summer of 2013 and went on to play an important role during his three years at the club.
Nedum Onuoha 2012-Present / 208 Appearances
The sole survivor from the money era. Chief has proven to be one of the better buys during this time and is now a senior member of the squad. Trusted by successive managers as club captain.
Massimo Luongo 2015-Present / 106 Appearances
A somewhat controversial inclusion, and I don't expect him to make the cut for many peoples top ten, but I still feel he deserves a shout. Has grown during his time at the club and is now one of the sides more important players.
Richard Dunne 2013-15 / 69 Appearances
Experienced, no nonsense defender. Came in and provided exactly what was needed after relegation. Just a shame we didn't get him in a few years earlier.
Shaun Derry 2010-14 / 99 Appearances
Yet another typically smart Warnock signing. Provided the balance to allow Taarabt to do his thing further forward during the championship winning season and went on to prove doubters wrong during our first year back in the Prem.
Heiđar Helguson 2008-12 / 80 Appearances
A vital member of the championship winning team. Warnock gave him a new lease of life and certainly got the best out of him. Popped up with some important goals that season and the next.
Alejandro Faurlín 2009-16 / 163 Appearances
Superb alongside Derry in the 2010-11 season. Injuries robbed us of the chance to see him at his best in what should've been his peak years but did well to bounce back as many times as he did considering the very serious nature of some of them.
Bobby Zamora 2012-15 / 92 Appearances
Has to be considered purely for that goal. Plagued by injuries during his time here but still managed to pop up at vital moments, most notably setting up the winner in the playoff semi-final and then benefiting from Keoghs mistake.
Joey Barton 2011-15 / 99 Appearances
Mr Marmite. Many expected him to be moved on following his banishment by Mark Hughes, but to his credit he returned the following summer, knuckled down and went on to be a vital member of a team that won promotion. Tony Fernandes sitting atop his shoulders following the play-off final win a standout image from that day.
END
May try and set up some sort of vote depending on reaction.
