Or whenever it is, stronger than we are currently? I can't see it myself. Maybe Penrice can find one or two good 'uns.

This FFP is beginning to hit everyone outside the Prem driving down wages, The only teams that can spend have large parachute payments but quite a few are running out. Some teams have spent a lot of money and will need to offload.
Over the next few years players will going to lower leagues for employment. We need to be selective on who we sign.

Depends how you look at it really.
I think we're now looking very likely to lose Ned and Robinson. Don't think we'll be seeing Grant Hall next season. I also think we'll do well to hang onto all of Luongo, Smithies and Freeman. At least one of those 3 are bound to go. Add to that we'll be trying to shift the likes of Conor and Sylla. It's gonna be a very different look to the squad next season.
I expect 3 or 4 new signings (defenders and a striker), plus a couple more youngsters stepping up from U23's. Lumley is bound to step up if 1 keeper goes, then maybe Hamalainen, Osman Kaykay or Giles Phillips getting more game time.
I think it's gonna be exciting. A squad with a very low average age, and lots of players that have come through the youth set up. To be fair, loads of fans have been asking for this for years, so we should be happy!Last edited by Tarbie; 07-04-2018, 11:25 AM.

personally, i would love to hang on to all our players barring the obvious shyte that we still have on the payroll.
go out and get a striker and defender, then have a really good go at the playoffs.
even getting into the playoff final would generate £50 mil.
that would wipe any fine off our heads.
if we somehow manage to go up, £150 mil,
#happydaysnsa/cia spy on this..............┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐

Luongo will be sold to villa or Cardiff 5 million approx already being talked about on QPR news now
Use 1 million of that money to keep Ned and Robinson as we still need them for next season play offs
If we let Luongo ..Ned..Robinson all go we are going to struggle again big time I'm afraid sell one keep 2

All I'm saying is we have 3 first team defenders on their way out, as well as big question marks around whether we'll see Grant Hall next season. It's gonna be a very different look to our back line, and I'll be surprised if we have the resources to bring in 4 genuine Championship standard defenders. As such, I'd expect somebody to step up from the U23's.

I also think we need to be realistic, and understand that every player has their price. Pretty much every side other than the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City etc. is in the same boat to be fair. So much money in football these days, particularly for Europe's elite that it's virtually impossible to keep hold of a player when bigger sides come sniffing and are prepared to pay big money.
