Can see Nasser saying told you so
Don't think I ever really argued Nasser on that point. I've always said there is a great player in Luongo, and regularly stated in the past that we used him far too defensively.

Really pleased for Mas to be fair. He's worked bloody hard and deserves all of the plaudits he's getting!

If we are serious about wanting promotion or atleast a stab at it we should be trying to keep hold of our players regardless

False economy if we are in breach of FFP again. First and foremost, the books need to balance if there are multimillion pound fines or points deductions being threatened.

Would agree with that to be fair.

This is spot on but the draw of the cash from the PL is the acid test for if players move or not.

I think we’ll be ok and able to hang onto who we want to unless a stupid money offer comes in as I believe the big money contracts come to an end this summer. We’ll no doubt trim U23 and others

Hard to know for sure though mate. The club are understandably being very tight lipped about it all. I think there is a good chance we may need to sell someone, particularly if we want to buy anyone.

Yes but if we got promoted or got in the play off final it wouldnt be, at the end of the day most of our players could be worth more after another season, & not sure how the ffp would stand if we got promoted

I'm guessing if we are found to be in breach of it twice within a few seasons of each other we'd be in big trouble. Not sure if they can deduct points, but they can fine heavily and enforce a transfer embargo.

This whole FFP on the face of it seems like a joke, the EPL teams spend absurd amounts of money, as much as they want which inflates the values of players in the lower leagues and makes it harder to keep quality in the side, it's all about the big boys!

                        So true mate.

The name Financial Fair Play is a joke too. In reality is does exactly the opposite of what the name suggests. It ensures that Europe's elite teams will retain their status (barring any disasters or serious mismanagement), and the smaller sides need to be extremely lucky, or extremely patient to get anywhere near them.

Agree. I hope we don't have to sell our key players.

You can understand the older players after more money for warming a Prem team bench but the younger players should be looking at playing games. Look at Josh Bowler. Can't even get a game for Everton U23s. Just 7 appearances for 'other' matches.

It's a sad day when you worry that Crystal Palace and Brighton could attract your best players.
