If we were in the Premiership then I can understand it a little more, but to charge £30 to watch Championship football is totally wrong regardless what people think.

It isn't about what people can afford, its the principle of it and I think they hiked the prices to early IMO.

Banding loftus road was the worst thing they ever did as it really did split the fans, however, I know we are a small club and they have to try and raise some money elsewhere but to hit the fans as hard as that was simply wrong.
Simple we miss the boat a long time ago, Fulham have establish themselves in the PL and with a new fanbase......we are playing catch up.

Gonna upset a few once again but seriously £30 is sod all when you think of the quality of player we now have at the club. Don't agree with all this quoting 'PL prices' all the time rubbish. When we do play the likes of Liverpool and Man Utd in the PL will £50-60 be acceptable because that what they will charge and we will wonder why we were ever squibbling over £30 a match.

Plus you talk of £30 tickets when I see 3-4000 £20-25 seats empty in the last 2 home matches. I love the way our fans always put spin on ticket prices by quoting the most expensive ones all the time.

Demand a cheaper one, the club can't refuse to sell you one.

Alternatively buy one on the day

Sorry must admit that is quite a poor excuse how hard is it to request to sit in a particular block?

W12 you need to learn about humility. If you don't understand the word, look it up in a dictionary.

Oh, and Ollyhoops and DavidLA, good posts guys.

How would season ticket holders feel, if for the next few home games it was £10 for supporters, to get them in the ground?

11,900 is an issue and with another 6,000 it would make a great difference.

Trouble is some fans want their cake and eat it and I can guarantee that by the time we are in the PL it won't be too long before fans are complaining about ticket prices again.

Maybe if some of our fan base which apparently is out there attended more through the years and pushed our average attendances up ST prices wouldn't have been set so high in the first place.
              2 things.

1.We do not have 1 of the highest wage bills in the league.

              2. Reading are not a rival, at all.

£30 to watch a game (or £20 if you only want to see half the game) is a lot of money for the standard you are watching. I tell me mates how much it is to watch us and they laugh. My mate is going to watch Chelsea play against bolton in the mathew harding end, £19.50. They are watching world class players on A LOT more wages and cost A LOT more transfer fees than us, and they get to watch certain games for less than us.

Personally I wouldn't have issue if it fills the ground, but the board sshould protect the ST Holders. If I was the board I would say if we get promoted those who had ST's this season with get first priority on away tickets next season along with a 10-15% discount on ST's then I'd go along with that.

                Alternatively

You could sell restricted views as £10 tickets in the ground.....no one ever buys them anyway.

1). Our wage bill is over £10 million per year so I would beg to differ

2). Reading are as close a thing to a rival we have in this divison bar Palace and Watford....the fake hoop banter has been going around for years.

The fact that Roman Ambramovich turnt £700 million worth of debt into equity this summer makes your last point invalid.

As an st holder, i would have no problem with the club reducing walkups too £10 i just want to see a full stadium, the players deserve and need the full backing from a sellout stadium.

And to be frank our part empty stadium on match days is an embarrisment.

I can see why you have been a successful businessman w12ranger because you really are not a very nice person. Your one of the main reason why we need to stop all this bronze, silver, gold, and platinum bull sh it
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Wouldn't bother me one bit, I'm all in favor of a family season ticket for the school end.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Notice how you jumped back into the debate when it suits you, you lost this arguement 2 pages ago.

I'd be happy for the seat banding to be scrapped, my seat wouldn't change as it didn't when they introduced it.

I sit where I sit for the view not the prestige you pillock.

And why do you keep calling me a businessman, I'm an Engineer FFS.

Sorry I'm new to this Forum and this thread, I remember Rangers used to offer tickets to the local schools and it boosted the attendance figures. If I was influential at the club I'd target the local 'Yuff' and give them a bunch of free tickets just to get them interested, then hopefully a good percentage of them would return in the future.

Someone else posted that the local area around Loftus Road has also changed (just a bit), we are always going to be at a disadvantage to any named towns/Cities where fans can identify with their area through their local team - I hate to use them as an example.......but Reading has a sub-urban population of 230'000 (in 2001) - little wonder they can attract 20k+ crowds.

Simple solution: What about making the stadium smaller (12k) ? - full house every week !!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have no one on massive wages (feel free to prove me wrong with some facts), not like Newcasle, Boro etc. Our wages are on par with most in the league, we are prob top 10 with wages, but charge more.

Okay, so how about teams in this league paying less? West Brom, Sheff Utd etc all charge less than us. Fulham, Chelsea and West Ham, you can all sit and watch a game in a decent position for less than us.

I do not see the wages as an excuse for our high pricing. If thats the case, then where does our sponsorship money go? We are not spending millions on players so its not going on them.
