I feel it's not the ease of parking that counts, it's the easy of getting away after that matters. Too many times I've thought I was a right cleverdick getting a spot in a car park next to a ground only to be stuck for about an hour afterwards cos I'm virtually trapped and hemmed in. I always look for something about a kilometre away that's on the exit route home now.
There's a good website called Parkopedia that's handy for identifying proper car parks and their costs but it won't help with ad hoc car parks that spring up temporarily on match days.
Have a look on the map near the m4. I will try find out where my bro parked. Near enough to walk to the pub, walk to the ground, then walk out the ground and we were basically at the m4 junction going the right way home; so zero traffic.
I'm looking at the park and ride at Mereoak which is a short bus ride away.
I go past this every day on my way to work in Theale, and is where I was going to park.
However my brother-in-law who is a Royals ST holder is going to give us a lift and has invited me and my boy for a slap up meal at the hotel before the game.
