Well now,being a new member here and the recipient of death threats by a deranged fellow LFW member....I defended myself reasonably,consequently had my replies deleted and was cast into the wilderness as being on the same level as the perpetrator.Really shameful stuff.I was even threatened with private messages being made public - a breach of confidence legally.
That place had become a cesspit of sycophancy and general morbidity.Glad to have got off there .

I have log in for LFW but rarely if ever post their although do read every so often. Personally think this is the best forum by some distance and the fantasy island tag is bit old now which relates to another time and posters of the forum

We have a few heated discussions on here at times but why wouldn't we? We're all pretty much cut from the same cloth. We are passionate QPR fans.

I've always seen LFW as a bit pompous. They come across as if they're above others. Personal opinion. On here you have what I'd regard as proper fans. Salt of the earth people.

Yes, I find that as well but as you say there may be all number of reasons why people don't attend including often posters who have moved away but used to regularly attend.
I may get shot down for this but I will admit I do place a bit more value to posts from people who go and especially those who go to away games. It is not that they are necessarily better supporters but I feel their view carries a bit more weight as they are seeing and experiencing things first hand.

Thanks for the warm welcome chaps.There was a distinct edge to proceedings at "The Other Place" and you post with much misgivings constantly aware of being dug out.The scoring of cheap points off each other was legion,and you could hardly have a difference of opinion without swear words flowing.I did over 10 years and tens of thousands of comments,kept it afloat sometimes.There were some genuinely funny and surreal people on there but all have drifted off or been forced out.A truly nasty place now.
This feels a lot more relaxed and friendly - should have joined ages ago.I'm a nice guy,QPR through and through but I won't back down in the face of personal threats.What am I supposed to do - greet someone on the doorstep who is threatening me with physical violence with a cup of tea and scones? (Mmmmmmmmm......scones....)
Onwards and upwards - well....same place in the table anyway.

You won't jump down my throat if I said I would prefer to see him gone - eventually?No point now of course,but I would like to see a change of direction.The trend towards young(ish) Spanish coaches seems to be paying dividends for others.
