Southampton won't want to let any rival in the PL have him and he needs to play regularly. Makes perfek sense....
Southampton would want a loan fee and a decent proportion of his wages paid from us. More chance of J**n T*rry getting a hero’s reception at Loftus Road than this happening.

As much chance of Charlie returning in January as the QPR spin site asking holloway a sensible question after a game ,instead of patronising him with comments like "very unlucky today Ian ", instead of asking proper questions "where are the goals going to come from" "why mackie ?????" And "are you not worried we are slipping into trouble already '
Was thinking the same, and as long as they agree to pay part of his wages then why not? Plus I think he still has a soft spot for us.
He is a Prem player who was signed on the cheap therefore got to be on 50k a week. They would have to pay 90% of his wages at least. There would be a few Championship sides who would pay a lot more than us unfortunately.

Not being funny, but we have plenty of players on far more than 5 grand a week. I also suspect Charlie is probably getting more than 50k a week at Southampton.
Either way, this is a nothing story. As you said, plenty of clubs in front of us in the queue if Charlie is available.
Didn't get to watch game last night, but I have been an advocate of Charlie Austin for ages now and am delighted he got on the score sheet. Did we play to his strengths last night or is he just looking sharper. The games I have seen, he just looked a bit out of place. If we can utilise him to his...
Another here who thinks he should be given a go. He has a nous for goal that not many others in the squad have, but the team doesn't play to his strengths. Telling him to sit behind a no.9 is dumb. Put him up the top, and put the balls on a plate for him, because finishing while under pressure is what he's good at.
