For christ sake we don't play players as full backs we play them at wingbacks and they are not very good there , all I am posting is a flat back four is easier for players that arnt capable of taking on a specialist role

I think we can all see we should be playing a flat back 4 with 1 or 2 wingers, not the current wingback format. Back to basics for me until results improve and then he can tinker.

Buddy I'm just sick of posters bulling these players up , more are a shower of shlt than arnt outside of smithies baptiste scowens luongo and Freeman we are heavily loaded with dross , imo the formations are far more worrying , most posters agree that many of the player Arnt capable of playing that way well that tells us all we need to know about the depth in quality there is at the club

Whilst I am not saying the players are of a good standard we won't really know until they are played in a team and formation that suits their ability. I agree with you fully that they should play in a 4-4-2. Until they are and for more than just 1 or 2 games we will not really know how capable they are.

I think Sylla is a better player than perhaps you or others think, as is Smith, but they seem to do better when crosses are put into the box but we are not seeing these often enough.
IH is too set in his ways to change his mind or take advice from others about team selection, formation and tactics as he knows best and maybe thinks of himself as a clever tactician who can outsmart his opponents, yet his record suggests that he is not.

His recent record at Millwall and QPR make very uncomfortable reading. By the time he resigned or got sacked at Millwall it was too late as they were in deep relegation trouble with just 10 games to get out of the hole he had dug them into. I just hope that LF and TF act a lot sooner than that if he doesn't start winning games soon. 2 wins 6 draws and 6 defeats from the last 14 games (many against sides in the bottom 8 - Burton, Bolton, Sunderland, Barnsley, Millwall) is relegation form.

Sylla deserves a run smith is adequate for the last half hour which to be fair Ollie seems to be seeing that

It is very, very simple. You can't expect anything from a player like Smith if he doesn't get service.

There is only one way crosses can be supplied on a regular basis from danger areas: wingers. True Wing backs are a luxury you can not afford if they don't have the qualities required, and they are rare, even at the highest level. Wing backs can also expose you defensively for the same reason. You need real quality at the back to afford wbs otherwise you will be exposed, another thing we've seen at higher levels.

If we play full backs we can stick someone to play off Smith and sniff out the crumbs, and a back four is an easier coaching set up for our so called 'defence coach' to manage.

I don't trust Ollie not to keep fvcking about with personnel and systems and that will cost us.
