But if he is... then we need cover for Leigertwood - and that is Ramage, at the moment.

Cover for Borrowdale? (or IMO, a replacement)...... Nothing.
And that needs addressing - pronto.

I still think we should at least take a look at Ramage at left back, or Leigertwood.

Whatever the opinions on Borrowdale - to have ZERO alternative/cover for him is a big problem just waiting to happen.
Glandular Fever - he could look all right and feel all right one minute, then awful the next, and that could be for some time yet. The club might be well advised to tell him to go away for the rest of the season, as being rushed back and not playing well could simply compound problems for him.

        i would hope he stays
he overcame the boos by simply doing the best he can and coming over to us at donny, he got a great reception....
why give in now..fight for the shirt...
i hope there is little to this story...and i assume he's contracted for another yr?

          Well,

It might be the case that he isn't happy living down here, as he is a geordie, maybe he can't settle in the london area? or maybe he misses his family.

If this is true then I'm quite upset because I was one of those who liked and supported Ramage.

He has done all he can to put things right and then to be told his not wanted if true. :(

To be Fair, good lad hard worker and all that but not good enough to play right back imo, if we're to push up out this division we need better players in the full back possitions. Don't care how they played last saturday or the game before that we need quality in those two positions, i believe in the middle (bar Stewart) we have players able to play in the prem league, but we don't have classy full backs. So if its first team football he wants good luck to him and lets get in some much needed flair in those two possitions. other than that i think we have a real strong squad.

Some fans are way too sentimental. OK, so he comes over and claps you - so what? Does that make him a good player? He is a decent reserve but not as good as Legs at right back who has lost his place in midfield. If he is not prepared to stay and fight for his place then no problem with putting him up for sale in Jan - and seeing as we signed him on a free cd be a good bit of business for the club.

This all assumes that Legs is happy to stay if he can only get a regular start at RB.

I like Ramage but not really a loss.. defo shame though
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
