I dont know him and have never met him, but he has my sympathies having to deal with the general mess that is our Board/senior directors.

The well orchestrated and well practiced smear campaigns (see Paulo Sousa) have been in motion for some time, so he never really stood a chance.

He's not that senior in terms of the pecking order, so whatever he has/hasnt done is likely to be at the behest of others.
QBP 20th August 2009..."To be fair, I'm glad we are top of the table (for agents fees). Shows we are not a selling club anymore."

      Gosh!

All the "In The Know" people on this board (or should that be "Spin The Know"). Know who he is, what he does, why he does it.

One could almost imagine that Sousa never actually got sacked for disclosing confidential information about the club.

Deputy MD - had/has responsibility of much of the day to day running of the club. Only really big decisions went to Flav/Agag. AR has his fingers in many pies IIRC

To be honest, I llike the guy in person.

trouble is, he misread the implications of trying to provide a class system into the fans. The Gold, Silver, Bronze sections whatever way you dress it up, implies a class/can you afford it mentality. This was clearly his idea, Hearts had the same system in place.

The PR of the club has not been great. I'm not an advocater of advertising in media either. The loyalty points system is a good one, but not organised properly and his skill of not answering a question will go in the history books.

Saying all that, I genuinely believe mistakes will be made and alot more goes on behind the scenes than you and I are aware, for example many of his directives would have come from Flavio. Rumours are he believed we could fill Wembley Stadium if moved across and that I find that hard to believe.

He gets a little unfair stick as he can be co-oprative to ideas and does listen intently to fans views, away from messageboards. I question, whether he has the real power to change things though.

Why? Is he a Heriot's old boy??

Is interviewing him akin to Spud's interview in Trainspotting?
