call my cynical, but would half that famous lot show up to play if there was no tv coverage?
stinks of a look at me look at me i'm doing this for charity moment.
Wow mate. Just wow.
You are proper on a cynical one at the moment.
Sky only came in to televise it at the last minute, near on everyone involved was already in before it was anounced it was being shown on sky tv.
Couldn't give a stuff, as long as the money raised goes to the people affected.
I'm working this weekend so can't make it.
well, if the billionaire owners we have care that much, why organise this event in the first place?
say it rasies 100k, with all those socalled caring famous lot out prancing around the pitch shouting at the tv cameras "look at me, look at me" surely our caring and loving owners could easily just donate the money from their back pockets and spare us all of the prancing tw@ts that wish to further their ego.

sorry buds, thats just how i feel about these sorts of situations.
children in need, red nose day, etc etc,
all we get are rich and famous tw@ts on the tv, begging the poor and the working class to donate.
i do my bit for charities, i donate my clothes and kids toys, i give to the homeless and needy causes, i donated to the grenfell trust that was set up.
what i will not do, is pander to olly muirs and co just to give them more ego,
I think we should be really proud of our club for this. It is consistent with the great community work they generally do and should be supported in my opinion. Not treated with cynicism but taken at face value.
I know what you mean in a way Hits but at the end of the day the stars that do events like this use their appeal and fan base to raise the money. If it was bunch of no-body's I'm not sure if the same amount of people would turn up - they should do but you know what I mean. It's a great idea and well done to everyone involved for getting the message out there, raising the money and spreading the word.
I'm going. On our doorstep and we keep pushing how good we are as a community club, one of the few things we are good at, not sure why people are looking for an angle
Guarantee if Fulham we're putting game on people would complain saying why did we not do it we're closest club bla bla bla

The fact is though mate, nowhere near as many would turn up and raise money if these celebrities didn't do stuff like this. It's the culture we live in today I'm afraid.
