For those saying adel's goal is better than sinclair
It's difficult really tp compare both goals and like HA ranger - and im sure many others, was at both games....
The Sinclair goal was a cracker and one i could watch all day, but (and if we are allowed to have a sensible debate about both goals)i feel AT goal was better. My only reason is that he was travelling at pace from his own half, taking on players and then almost stopped to compose before guiding ball past keeper.
So for me - its AT's goal, but only just, as the build up for Trevors goal was good as well.
Having said that - both goals well worthy of goal of month or season but being QPR probably lose out to a Chelsea or Man Utd goal.
Taarabt's goal was very good but not as good technically as Sinclairs and the correct comparison would have been with Roy Wegerle's goal against Leeds, which was better. (I was at this game sitting in the Lowfields road stand with the miners)
Seriously though, as great as Taarabts was, you see goals of a similar quality scored on a regular basis throughout world football. He beat his man and bent it into the goal...great strike indeed.
Sinclairs was better for a few reasons.
The technique used to execute it was outrageous.
It was unique to pretty much any goal ever witnessed in the world.
Having the audacity to even try it, let alone pull it off puts this up with the greatest strikes ever (in my biased opinion, it is THE best ever)
These reasons are enough to put his goal way above Taarabts in respect of quality.
taraabt great goal...run from halfway line, beats 3 and top corner...
on par with owen v argy
sinclairs goal is jsut different class on par with maradona in 86
Benny - some of the best goals i have seen, have not been what you would call spectacular...IE a 30 yarder etc.
Two of George Best best(lol) goals were a long mazy run and goal v Northampton( i think) and the chip over Pat Jennings.
We have all played football at some level and its great to score the spectacular goals but for me(lol just me) i like the build up.Collects ball goes past couple of players stops almost and then bends it round the keeper - which on its own is an art form,
Trevor's goal if mis timed - could have gone in row Z...like many players attempts at overhead kicks....
Which is why i think both are hard to master.
Having said that - having watched one of the best games at LR for ages - and QPR looking like a very good side....id quite happiliy debate whether Trevor's goal was better at Adel's - rather than the normal doom and gloom we have to put up with....
You say Tomato i say Tomato.....damm it gets lost on a messageboard

Spot on.
Also the power he got into it. It screamed past Watson in the Barnsley goal.
Hugo Sanchez used to specialise in overhead kick goals at Madrid but never caught one with such power, such technique or distance in all his years.
Just a shame it was in our first season outside the top flight and that Beckham's fluke was the same season (nb - if he'd scored that goal for say, Villa, would everyone be so quick to nominate it as the second coming?)
Waist of time discussing it.
Sinclair wins hands down.
I was at that game and it wasn't just the amazing technique but it was the distance he managed to achieve such a wonderful overhead kick.
