  • Taarabt could leave in January....

.....according to the Daily Mail.Hope they're wrong........Adel Taarabt January Departure? - As quoted by the Mail's Phil Gradwell:
".... I have a clause that if a Premier League club wants me, I can leave in January...Spurs wanted me to sign a contract (extension) in the summer but I wanted to go to Spain or Italy. They wouldn’t let me, so I went back to the Championship to show what I can do, and hopefully I’ll be in the Premier League soon."

Daily Mail/Phil Gradwell - Adel Taarbabt wants to follow in Eric Cantona and Zinedine Zidane's footsteps - By Phil Gradwell
    - Adel Taarbabt is using Eric Cantona and Zinedine Zidane as his inspiration as he looks to prove he has Premier League quality.
    - Taarabt scored a wonder goal from 20 yards after a superb solo run to open the scoring for QPR as they eased past Preston.
    - And the midfielder, on-loan from Spurs, admits he models his game on former Manchester United star Cantona.
Taarabt, who is looking for a return to the top-flight as soon as possible, said: ‘I am from Marseille, the city of Cantona and Zidane.
    - ‘They like to entertain the fans, I try to, too. I have a clause that if a Premier League club wants me, I can leave in January.
    - ‘Spurs wanted me to sign a contract (extension) in the summer but I wanted to go to Spain or Italy. They wouldn’t let me, so I went back to the Championship to show what I can do, and hopefully I’ll be in the Premier League soon.’
    - Taarabt, watched from the stands by Rangers legend Rodney Marsh, was labelled a genius by boss Jim Magilton afterwards.
His goal certainly merited that description as he beat two Preston players before nutmegging a third and curling the ball past Andy Lonergan.
    - In the second half he won the penalty which Akos Buzsaky converted for the second before Jay Simpson and Wayne Routledge completed the rout..." Mail

Which is exactly what he said before the season. I spoke to a friend of his before the Blackpool game, he had told him that, I saw the text on his mobile from AT.

He is here for shop window purposes. For him.

We saw the benefits yesterday, so that's not a BAD thing... but he sees himself as "Premier League", and was basically forced to come to QPR by 'Arry.
Spurs don't even have a reserve team, so it was the only way he would get a game - anywhere.

Not a dig at him, not saying I expect his 100% devotion to QPR... but that's the way it is.

He says in black and white he wants to be in the premiership asap and has a clause to leave in Jan. But to do that he has to shine for us and in Jan - according to Pete - we are getting "significant" investment so not nec a disaster.
