All this competition for places is surely a big factor behind the recent upturn in fortunes. Players knowing that they can easily lose their place if they dont perform.

      Really difficult one.

Do you replace the team that has just played its best performance of the season or bring back Watson and Legs??.

I was off last week, so don't know extent of Legiterwood being out?

Do think that you will have to bring those two back if you can, but wouldn't be too fussed if magilton kept the same team. It would send out a statement if you do well, then you keep your place.

Legs only had a virus so assume will be fit for tues?

it is a hard one - think its v hard to leave those two out as they are two of our key players but you certainly couldn't blame jim if he decided to at least start with the same team as sat, perhaps change it round at half time.

He should not change the team full stop as they earned the right to play on Saturday, but I am assuming Ben Watson would have some kind of if he's fit, he plays clause in his loan agreement. If he does not have a clause, he sits on the bench.

Good point Paul, do seem to remember somebody mentioning something of that sort at the time he signed, in which case it gives Jim a v gd excuse to disappoint for old gavin...

I would say Faurlin would be disappointed, as Mahon is more defence minded and would allow Watson to do his business.

He was really rough Saturday morning. Come over ill on Friday. They were talking of giving him a rest on Tuesday on Saturday and given the performance I doubt they'll rush him back. As I said I think Watson will return for Mahon as it doesn't justify spending large on loaned player who only makes the bench, however it is harsh on Mahon as he did play well. With Watson you'll get an engine for the full 90mins, Mahon will only give you that for 60mins top wack!

On Saturday Mahon actually played in front of Faurlin.

I know I'll come under some stick for this but I think we now have our better midfield playing, that being Faurlin and Watson in the middle. I rated him from the first moment I saw him. He'll be a real star at HQ and is 10x's better than Rowlands and he'll also give you more than 35 games a season, something which Rowlands has only done 3 times in 12 years of football. Sorry Rowlands lovers!

I think that JM will keep with the same 11 as it sends out the right message, 'perform and you earn a place' plus it also shows players that if they get suspended they risk their place. I do however, think he will bring Watson on at the earliest opportunity for anyone not performing. As others have siad, it is a great position for a manager to be in.

I have heard Mahon is still very stiff from Saturday, i am not sure if it has anything to do with the 2 female police officers who were in R Block?

Maybe we do really now have "the best midfield in the world"

We'll need to come up with new lyrics now though!

Really don't see how he can change a team that just played a quality team like Preston off the park, only if there's a knock or a slight niggle to someone otherwise same 11 has to be surly.
