  • Question!! I read today that the park club in Acton have been bought by David Lloyds. The park club sits on 26acres of land and other then one road is not really residential. It's a huge site if they were willing to sell why were we not interested in the site for a stadium or even training ground

    Another opportunity missed

        • David Lloyd is owned by TDR one of the biggest private equity firms around. They bought them for £750m which shows what sort of money they have.

Surely this would have been perfect for training ground more straight forward to secure and significantly cheaper. As Kev says site is perfect and probably could have been ready to use as training ground and walking distance to Loftus Road

if the owners were serious about a stadium, then yes, that would have been perfect.

                      • Sounds like weve learnt a few lessons since the Old Oak /Car Giant fiasco , speaking to people first ,instead of bulldozing straight in and rubbing everyone up the wrong way . Looks like we are still light years away from getting the new stadium still though.

Not one to post rumours and apologies if this has already been brought up. I have just been told that a site in Brentford is closing shortly and moving to Acton because QPR plan to build on the land.

This came from a guy who works on this site, its in Transport Avenue.... Anyone know anything about this?
