  • Does Cox Prove?

That in order to strengthen your strike force, is it best to go into the premiership or the championship for a forward.

Going a league below to get a bargain basement striker, doesn't always guarantee goals?

One player doesn't prove anything, either way.

Some are hits and some are not, you never can be sure. Cox might be a hit come May, too early to write him off.

          Pete, it works both ways.

Nicky Maynard, Jamie Ward and kevin Davies all proved it can be done so there is absolutely no justification in this.

Buying a player from the Prem or CCC is just as much a gamble. Look at Heider and Aggy.

Besides, it's still too early to write him off.

            Proves nothing.

Going to the Premier League/Championship doesn't guarantee goals either: Helguson, Stefan Moore, Agyemang... even Vine at the moment.

It's about how good they are, and how well they settle into a team... not what club they come from.
Lee Barnard, Gary Hooper (only 9 career games in this league), Beckford etc.. could all be flops if they signed for us.

So could Caleb Folan, Marlon King, etc..

Another thing with Cox is that he's competing with some very good strikers with Miller yet to return.
