Gutted someone like Birch has eluded to this - he should know more than most that as supporters, we're now fed of any excuse made by management.

So bircham says they was injured ok let's look at the stats
Freeman . Out of the 18 games he could have played he played in 17 games missed one due too suspension. So if he was injured why was risk him at Norwich by bringing him on
Hall. Has missed 6 games since Holloway first match
Washington. Washington missed one game and unused sub once since Holloway first match
Ngbakoto.missed 3 games unused sub twice since Holloway first match
Smith . Played a part in every game bar one when unused sub
Pav . Has been in every single match day squad since Rotherham away .
The only player who missed loads of games is cousins
So my Bircham players have missed the odd game here and there but blaming injuries and a death ( when the player involved featured) is pretty lame
Since full time on Sunday we had two excuses from Holloway ( gonna need two transfer windows , loan market one ) and know Bircham at it ffs just go for the love of god go

Caught up with this yesterday. The problem was it was a very partisan panel and crowd, so Bircham was never going to be challenged over his replies.
The two glaring ones were:
1) He used the excuse of lots of injuries. So why did no one make the point that all teams have injuries and is nothing unique to us?
2) He made the point that the team weren't fit enough to play the high-pressing game that Ollie demanded. Again, why did no one make the point that this is exactly what JFH was trying to do, and he too had a strong strenuous pre-season to get the players at the required fitness levels? So again, another feeble and easily picked apart excuse by Bircham.
