we looked dead and buried under Trollope. Warnocks came in and wow what a difference.
knows the league inside out. perfect fit for us as hes brought the players back down to earth and back together with the fans. last week before derby game he stopped the team bus a few miles away from derbys ground and had the 1st team training in a local park ground. said players nowadays get 5 star chefs etc at grounds and wanted to give them a reality check. signings hes made so far in Bamba has been tremendous. Hoiletts done well for us but is a little hot and cold.
Halfords came in and toughened us up in middle of park for away games.
the 2 he did bring in as gambles was richardson and chamakh which didnt work but both was only really on a trial period and releases at end of short term deals in january.
also brought in a good experienced keeper in Mcgregor from hull.
hes also saved a lot of money in wages and not really spent a penny as saving it for a good push at promotion for next season.
our fans really do love Warnock now and looking forward to next years go at promotion. Warnock said hes only needs 6 mill to have a go at it.
hes also brought in craig bellamy as head of all youth grades, coaching 1st team and will be his eventual replacement in a few years time.
Neils really rebuilt the club starting from the youth team and we are reaping the benefits now.
Hoping you boys give Olly time as he is a proven championship manager who will keep you up and push you on to better things next season. but you have missed a trick not bringing Warnock back and its sounding from an outsider that Les Ferdinand has to much control at qpr. Should just let the manager sort out players behind the scenes

Top man is Warnock and we did miss a trick not getting back on 2 occasions. Sadly I think you are right about Ferdinand but I expect nothing less from our clown of a chairman. All the best for the season.

Letting him go the second time was obviously a mistake. But at the time plenty of people had delusions of grandeur, JFH was the future (so people on here kept telling me), Neil couldn't cope in the prem etc etc. Like we were actually going to get there.....

Tbf it wasn't just the TF fanboys and starry eyed JFH believers. Even the Hitman didn't want him. But for this division there are few better at doing a decent job.

We all know what Neil can do and we all know he would have done it for us again. The man's a legend and always will be, for that magnificent, swashbuckling 2010/11 season alone.... But...... are we ever going to move on??!! It's no use crying over spilt milk, is it?!

Agree. It's really boring people still go on about him. We didn't keep him on (rightly or wrongly) and I'm 99% certain he will never be our manager again so it's a pointless subject to keep bringing up.

I think if he'd not been given a decent transfer budget when we moved up to the prem in 2011, we may well still be there. Things went south here when the big money started flying around.

Though his tactics were a bit obvious against any top half teams, found out easily. Great down in the Champ though.

ie where we were last time he had to pack his bags.

As Hubs said this is all old hat now - except for one thing. The brains trust running the club then are still in situ.

Old Neils threatening to leave Cardiff. Go get him Unc.

The Malaysian billionaire has cut spending but Warnock will only stay if he is afforded one last shot at the Premier League

No thanks. He stayed at Rotherham until the end of the season and then jumped ship. He is now threatening to do the same at Cardiff (if the Mirror can be believed). Do we really want a manager like that?

Think he'd jump at chance to join us long term. But need to move on

Long term? The blokes the oldest manager in the FL, and has been semi retired for the past few years.

Doesn't have to be manager for the long term. Move upstairs at some point
