No word of a lie this was about as perfect as it gets, to man Rangers were superb from back to front against a pretty decent side. Before the game I'd have taken a draw, but this could have been 10 - 0. Taarbat's goal was world class beating Buzz's from the Barnsley game. Buzz and Taarbat seem to be in their own mini goal of the season competition for Buzzacky grazed the bar with a bullet volley that had it gone in would be up their competing with Sinclairs overhead kick for the greatest rangers goal ever.
At the back Gorks and Stewart were brilliant and on any other day would have shouts for MOTM. Ramage and Borrowdale put in their best performances for the club to date .Mahon did what he does best, work very hard, win the ball and give it simply, the stick he gets is mindless and he proved those who give it out today wrong. Faurlin, is looking like a bargain, he was premiership class today, and dominated the midfield. However Preston could just not live with the forward quartet of Buzz, Taarbat, Routledge and Simpson who just tore them to shreds. The decision to play Routledge as second striker was a tactical nuke, and the movement the front two paired with the sublime skills of Taarbat and the genius of Buzacky was such a joy.
No one in this league could have lived with us today and real credit has to go to magilton and gorman, an appointment I was very skeptical off and after a deeply unimpressive start where IMHO they got selections wrong and unnecessarily split up Gorks and Stewart, it is now all coming together, and if we can reach consistently 80% of the level of today, we are going up.
