The stewards themselves are only doing what they are told by asking people to sit in thier seats. put yourself in thier shoes for a momentm they have thier supervisors telling them to get you to sit down or they wont get pciked to do the job for the next match.
Its an issue really that needs to be dealt with by representation to the club itself.
SO either write to the club directly about the issue or get in touch with whichever supporters group you want to and ask them to make an issue of it.
it is a balancing act because the club do have to adhere to health and safety guidelines in order to keep thier certificate but i do think there is a middle way that could satisfy the majority if it is approached and managed with a bit of give and take from both side.
Dont tell Conners though as he will see it as complaining rather than getting behind the boardits New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

I would be in favour of a return to some terracing so people could stand if they wish. But it will never happen because some will cite "Hillsborough" and have the authorities wringing their hands over it.

the guy before half time who almost got thrown out was next to me... we did nothing wrong but stand and sing. if people infront and behind are standing why should it be him who is thrown out? stewards came over asking if they could have a chat with him.. fans around said dont move he walked so far and then this bloke with his two boys told the steward to move as he was blocking his view.
i have never seen a better case of "picking a random person" to throw out.. i mean only reason he got asked to leave was because he looked at the bloke. if you want rangers to win you need to create an atmosphere.. after 3rd/4th goal the r block was rocking every1 standing and singing.. preston were made to look very silly and we never looked like losing or anything..
the club needs to address this standing policy better. if the guy behind or infront is standing why should the person in middle sit down?Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

it's for the safety certificate from council/whoever
ground and lge rules
stewards are the new pariah of society BUT CAN GET YOU BANNED...THEY HAVE TOO MUCH POWER...we can never forget hillsboro but terraces never killed people, it was the over crowding and lack of supervision of police/stewards at the ground.
failing to notice the disaster unfolding and failing to open gates to empty areas.
bradford fire?? years of litter under a wooden stand and PADLOCKED EXITS caused deaths...can't recall if smoke bomb was exact cause or fags??
NOT STANDING.
heysels? a sad nite that many forsaw
an old stadium, falling apart, poor segregation and poor policing
i personally hate the qpr stewards, bullies
imagine what the new investors think, when they see groups of yellow or ornage hivis go into an area, then police?? riots? fights? i am safe?
AND ALL IT IS , IS KIDS STANDING

Its not just the sitting down issue though.
This is a post from Gaz on Ades site.
Absolutely incredible...........
'the ****** stewards in r block.
non stop throughout the match about 6 or 7 of the biscuits came up to get everyone to sit down. usually they come up once and dont bother, but this time 2 people got chucked out for standing up.
when taarabts goal went in, everyone went mental, and after celebrating, i saw 2 stewards signalling to me to some over. i wasnt sure why, so i went over. i asked what was wrong, and one of them said you have to leave. i told him flat out that i paid for my ticket, i had done nothing wrong, and i was not going to leave. when i asked why he wanted me to leave, he said i was riling the crowd up whenever they came up. i didnt have a clue what he was talking about. i said to him that all i did was celebrate taarabts goal. and the ****heads response?
wait for it....
"yes, well you were being to loud."
too loud.
i looked at him while others around me laughed. i told him to f**k off, and went back to my seat. he just walked off.
its getting worse. they really ****ed me off today.'

I think there needs to be an unofficial meeting perhaps? People in the back row, there is absolutely no need for them to be seated, they are not in anyone's way etc etc... If someone stood in front of me, I would be annoyed at it. Not because I don't like standing, because I would prefer to, buy because I'd have to san up then and then risk getting thrown out/banned.
It is gonna get nasty one match, you can sense it, so for common sense sake, how about a few of the more eloquent fans from that section meeting with the club andcoming up with an unofficial compromise?
And Askew Boy, I don't think there is any need for what you said to whoever you said it to. I understand your frustration, but that was childish, We're all QPR.
