Is there one manager who would be universally accepted on this board?

Warnock is a great shout and would be as near as you could get to universal approval

The DoF role undermines most managers. altjough, as Clememt is primarily a coach, he could potentially work with LF, but it would srem he expects a better spendi g budget than is being offered.
      Rowett works with a DoF

Can't see him being universal, a lot of fans want a long term approach and and know that he isn't that.

Morning Nas. As near as universal and as they look like appointing Holloway that blows the long term vision argument out of the water.

Agree, his time here has come and gone. For me the same should apply to Olly. We're desperately looking up our ownarses because that's the cheapest place. Saving on this appointment (and retaining Les) will signify nothing has been learned.

I said fans, not the club

don't see many fans too happy with the potential of Ollie.

I am not a fan and have said from day 1 Rowett for me with a 5 year deal as proven in building teams and clubs. But the board again have shown no vision at all in this process.

Clement is the stand out choice I'd say but we're going in the wrong direction to appoint him.

What's worrying me is the owners making cuts all over the gaff, employing inexperienced cheap managers, buying players who are seen as not the finished article and need a settling in period, but still demanding to be promotion contenders. They seem insistent on doing it on the cheap, not going to happen with the spending power of clubs in this division nowadays unless we get very lucky. They're the main problem not managers.

True, but some people on here still don't get that.

Potentially Clement one day, but not right now for me.
Are you actually saying that if it were to be Clement, you'd find it unacceptable then?

Nah, not unacceptable - I'd accept and back whoever gets it.

Clement just not for me right now. Would like someone with a bit more experience, like Rowett, Holloway, even Karl Robinson.

Well, I think if Klopp decided he wanted a REAL challenge and left Liverpool for us you'd be hard pressed to find an upset QPR fan.

However, pretty much anyone else will have some fans upset.

It's baffling mate. The owners seem really confused. They say things but do the opposite. We're in a transition, that's fine but stick with that then.

They sacked Jimmy for not being in the promotion shake up but they, including Ferdinand make comments like we need stability, we're not paying high fees or wages any more, we're signing players who have potential and we need time to work with them etc. Yet they employ inexperienced cheap managers and sack them for not getting results. It makes absolutely no sense!

I actually agree Jimmy should have gone but it was for the football he served up, his unbelievable team selection and tactics not being 6 points off the playoffs.

I'd love to meet Ferdinand and Tony and ask them what exactly they want? You can't expect to do what they're doing financially yet still compete with the likes of Newcastle, Derby, Villa, Norwich etc.
