As I said, its not just W12Ranger; you seem to be having bother with a lot of other posters on here as well lately.

Depends if you get paid for working weekends though, I don't so generally don't work. I can understand PK's need to see the Rangers play the sequence of home games in weeks since the first game of the season up until tomorrow is 2-3-2-3, throw in a load of dodgy away days and it can seem like a lifetime from seeing us play.

Gave up being a trainee accountant 24 years ago to enter 'the building trade' and have never regretted it for one moment.

IMO theres something very glourious about working in a trade, ending the day having achieved something, built something, i salute the builders, carpenters, plumbers etc of this country because imo thats what this country has built its reputation on, hard days craft, work hard, play harder... Nothing wrong with that... I used to work in a trade and imo there was nothing better then being your own boss, hard days graft, the feeling of acomplishment and a satisfaction feeling you get when you get home totally spent...

Anyway just my opinion, but i agree with the others on here that this arguemnet needs to stop, its ruining threads and just boring...

IMO all though i want to say go to QPR you might be better off working and earning yourself a few extra beer tokens. Oh and its tuesday not wednesday the game, whatever you do dont go and wait for it then miss it!!...
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Totally agree but in truth Construction is a fairly new field to me. I'm a Tunnelling Engineer so Heavy Civils is more my area. With respect to trades the most outstanding grafters I ever witnessed are Leading Miners on Tunnelling Projects. A 'miner' in the sense of the word is a man who can do anything from driving a machine, chippie/shuttering work, hand excavation, concreting, and tunnel erection (sometimes all in one 12 hour shift). Like many trades its an art form but also a production line, ****ses me off no end when I hear bankers bleat about the long hours they work when I know off men off steel from Donegal do a 60hr week and to fly home on the Friday and back to work for the Monday.

If I was to choose one more out and out trade which most impresses me it would have to be chippies who work on large RC Structures, back breaking work at times with a real end product (there is something about concrete which excites me ). I once worked on The Emirates Stadium for a few weeks and some of the concrete works there were world class and on Wembley Stadium where stairwells had to be cast to within virtual zero tolerances at times - which is ridiculous.
