Looking at it, Reading's first ever kit 1871/72 was thin blue horizontal lines, not sure they were hoops but I suppose Reading could claim they were.
Our first kit in 1882 was a Wycombe style half blues. We were hoops (albeit green and white) by 1892 - we went to blue and white hoops in 1926.
Reading went blue and white halves from 1878 all the way to 1938, where they then went to blue and white hoops as well. Reading seemingly chop and changed up until 92 with a mixture of blue and white hoops and plain blue and white.
Bar two seasons we've been blue and white hoops since 1926, because of this I think we can more than lay claim to the fact that the blue and white hoops truly deserve to be in West London.
I also find it cringy that Reading sing 'Come on you Rs' knowing full well our nickname is the Rs and theirs is 'The Royals', so I'm baffled as to why they even sing 'Come on you Rs'.
I've always found Reading and their fans a tad souless, cringy and plastic.
