Now we all know far to often when we play Fulham that were out the game before it's even started as were two nil down within 20mins but yesterday they knew from the off we were up for it and they were in for a game instead of us rolling over
From memory the early exchanges saw us getting tight to them and nicking the ball off them and Mass was the man setting the example. My initial feeling was were here to compete today and I think that was sensed by the home fans who were very quiet (that's not dig at them by the way as don't think ground is best for hearing whats being sung at other end) as outside they were very confident even bolshy but the way we started and it was clear we were rolling our sleeves up instead of rolling over you could sense home fans were edgy where as previously given were p iss poor its a carnival atmosphere for them
When you look at our back four all units think they knew they were not going to get any change out of us in a physical battle and think we were bit naive playing such high line first half which gave them the chance of the breakaway opportunities as running behind us was only way they were going to break us down.
But it was nice to show up there for a change and actually give them a competitive game and it was even better leaving at the end walking back to Hammersmith on roads where we have in the past been mocked.
