Depends where he's resident for tax purposes. Assuming he's uk resident now, he'd have to declare that income and will be taxed on it, irrespective of what bank account it's paid into. If he's Dutch resident, can't see the issue.

If he's a dutch resident then the tax would be high there too. Also he'd only be allowed to spend 3 months a year in the UK, which seems unlikely given his responsibilities with the club. He's working some kind of scheme but I don't know what.

As I said, you would need more info and a tax specialist to know if what he is talking about is illegal or not. As an expat with business concerns in the UK and offshore, I know a bit about this. I can't think of a way that Jimmy could be paid through Holland and only be required to pay 10% tax, but then again I'm not a tax specialist.

Probably because Jimmy has threatened to sue them I'd imagine. Would you give evidence that could be used against you to someone that is trying to sue you?

If he is living and working in the U.K. he would be considered a U.K. resident. The fact that he is Dutch is irrelevant. To be a Dutch resident he would have to live in the Netherlands for at least six months a year which would be difficult as manager of QPR, though not sure it would make much difference if he was away for six months or more.

Perhaps it's because they have further stuff on JFH up their sleeves, or maybe even other QPR related evidence.

Or maybe because if QPR's investigation finds no evidence of wrong-doing it then portrays DT in a poor light.

Or for the reason Tarbie gave.

The bottom line is there's no real reason why it's in their interests to play ball with QPR.

Why would they? Qpr investigation doesn't confirm them. If you don't believe then sue them. Telegraph
Legal will not have let them release story if rubbish but also likely to advise not releasing full footage. There is no gain in doing so. Annoying yes but i think JFH legal team realized this.

If they don't release the footage, what happens next? This doesn't mean that JFH is innocent, otherwise the Club wouldn't have bothered asking for the video. I assume they will have to make a decision based on the information they have.

Why can't we just pick a ####in manager that doesn't get in trouble or even get himself into these situations.

In my book, the blokes got himself into this situation of a dodgy meeting, why feel the need? Whether innocent or guilty the Damage is done, he's on the front of a newspaper dragging our club through the dirt. Find a gaffer that is as clear as day and move on.

Unless he has a limited company set up in the Netherlands to which he can pay funds from his business dealings into and drip feed himself a dividend? There might be ways to work the system on that where he could release the funds over time as a dividend to spread the taxation. Still 10% sounds low, especially given that as UK resident he should be declaring all income anywhere in the world on an annual basis.

Any international taxation specialists on here?
