Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp revealed he rejected Newcastle United, QPR and Birmingham City while in charge of Portsmouth.
Redknapp returns to Fratton Park tomorrow and told The News: "When I turned down Newcastle I was accused by a lot of newspapers of not having any ambition.
"I was happy here, it was the perfect situation for me. The training ground was half-an-hour from home and I loved working for this club.
"Around that time Birmingham also offered me a fantastic deal, David Sullivan offered me a brilliant job. I wasn't interested.
"When QPR had their rich new owners they came in and they asked me to write my own contract. I wasn't interested."
