  • Leader on the pitch

After seeing that complete shambles on the pitch where the hell was the leader?
Surely someone must have enough experience to organise the team when things
are going badly wrong during play.
Just a thought....Joey Barton could be available

This subject was discussed on here in the summer with Clint leaving it was of paramount importance to have a leader
on the pitch but alas this was not addressed.

We all know that Ned is not a leader in anyway shape or form

You don't need to be Captain to be a leader.

When Taarabt was captain Derry & Hill were the leaders.

Fourth Barton thread since yesterday and we were not even his last club.

The guy should never have been allowed back after the Man City incident(s)

Excellent point - but we don't have any real leaders now. Ned has only been given the captaincy by default.

You ain't trying to start another Faulin thread are you CJ he would have been very handy to have on the pitch or changing room he left us without a QPR man at the club

Agree that there is no one else to give it to, so the clubs longest serving player(?) is the right choice. Well spoken intelligent bloke and well liked it seems by the rest of the squad. Don't think he has the proper skill set to get a team back on track when things are going badly though

Think Bidwell has the attributes to become a leader on the pitch once he is fully settled at the club. (In that he has only been here for 7 league games) Was previously Brentford captain

I love the bloke I won't deny that.

And the reason he was let go was because he wouldn't be able to handle the pressing game (which we aren't playing) but that's for another thread...maybe I will start one! Joking, be calm...

Have a look on tuesday after each goal went in. No one tried to get the players back up and our captain just turned around and walked to the half way line. Terry, Adams, Keane and even the late great Alan McDonald would never have done that.
