Sorry but i thought this was a messageboard where people ask questions surely you understand that

I think this is salutary and worth reflecting on. Had the Barnsley fans called for Heckingbottom (what a name!) to go at that point and he'd been sacked, look at what they would have missed out on! Every manager has a different approach, some take longer than others to achieve what they want with a team, some of course, are unsuccessful, but I think the key thing is you have to give people time.

So, explain to me then, why you think they were bottom of the league at this point, when they were actually mid table with everything being basically the same as us this season?

Ambition doesnt mean instant success. Olympians, becoming a scientist all take time, they arent all instantly incredible at what they do. It takes time to build a success, it doesnt happen over night. He has had 10 months in charge, and with probably worse players on a much lower budget we are currently in the same position as last year, what did everyone expect to happen after losing so many players in the summer? Did we all assume we would instantly hit playoffs?

Haha I hope it ends before that point. Nothing to say other than the fact that sometimes people try to say things that aren't true just to make a point, not expecting to be caught out on it...

Ramsay, Deluded I am not and as for Wigan and the clean sheet how about a top drawer save from Smithies at 1-0? You were at the game I take it?

I thought we could be a team in progress win a few and lose a few with some excitement along the way. The gripe I have and which seems to spreading is the style of play we have or in our case we have not. Not one player is standing out at the moment which indicates that we are se up not very negatively. Newcastle played a system that is a million miles from what we are being served up right now. Surely we all agree that 3 #### poor performances at home in a row is enough.

This forum just goes around in circles. After our 2 wins at the start of the season you has some basically thinking promotion is a certainty and wanting Jimmy to extend his contract and now after the shocking game on Tuesday you have the opposite people demanding Jimmy view. Personally I've always felt we would be mid table and hoping to have a crack at the playoffs but ultimately probably not make it.

For me the football is boring and I really hope it does get more exciting but I still can't fathom this talk of sacking Jimmy. Barring if you're Madrid or someone like that we can't keep replacing managers after a few bad results/performances and expect to do better afterwards. For me stability is key and unless we are in danger of going down (personally I'm not worried at all) then keep faith because it won't be an instant success.

So please if we do beat the league leaders (stop laughing) on Saturday I hope people dont get too excited and if we lose I hope people aren't too downbeat. A 6-0 loss is never acceptable but as a mid table team we will win some and lose some. I do just hope that our players know how to pass forward as that was annoying me as much as the score on Tuesday as we always checked back it seemed like.

Irrespective of people's opinions as to where we should be at the moment, surely nobody, absolutely nobody can seriously say since JFH has been here, we have generally looked a good side or played entertaining football.

Most of us can cope with being beaten by teams with bigger budgets and better players. What many of us have a problem with is how after all this time, we still show no signs of progression. Or why the manager constantly plays players out of position. Or why, having picked the wrong team to start the game, he takes so long to realise the fact and to do anything about it.

I was all for a young manager, buying young players and improving them. What I wasn't prepared for was such a prolonged period of the most negative tactics and ultimately boring football imagineable. I very much doubt the owners will keep the faith for much longer as it's clear that it's his style of play and total lack of entertainment that is keeping people away.

On the plus side, Tuesday's game did enable Nasser to give his best review of a match yet.

To be honest that review was more done in a joke manner as you can imagine. What struck me is how people loved it just because it agreed with what they thought. Honestly, far too many don't actually like other opinions and find different ways to criticise someone who's opinion is different just so that they can feel better about their own. My honest opinion is still that we were poor but I think Newcastle being as good as they were made us that bad. Still think we'll be hovering around playoffs with considerable comfort and I still feel that we're not far off getting the same formula that let us win so comfortably in the opening two matches. But this blip of a result and period of poor matches was more down to a lack of a few ingredients (notice how in 2 of our 3 worst performances this season, Luongo wasn't playing) than anything else.

More importantly, I still think JFH is the man for the job.

Why has he dropped him then, even though he's 'still the man for the job'?

The question is what is deemed a good performance?
