  • League One Standard........

That's the problem. My pal points out that presently our whole set up is League One. He's bang on. Jimmy himself, Nasser, Washington, Luongo, and Gladwin, as we know, were all from that league. JET.... Perch and Henry were playing there when we brought them. Cousins had just got relegated to League One. And the reserve goalie is from Wycombe..... Polter is from a lower tier German club. Plus our completely unknown, untested foreign signings. As my pal says, the gap Tuesday was actually two divisions. It looked four......

That's been the policy. It isn't working. It's hard to see anyway forward. One way to make some start moving forward is to change the manager. Now.

Good point, Mush. Playing as a unit; being well balanced; crucially, having a ball playing, pass making CM. And a manager who knows what he is doing??

Barnsley have a manager who has them playing entertainjng football and encourages them to attack teams.

League 1 players playing in their preferred positions with a clear plan...

so the alternative is to buy established prem players on big money in order to move up? perhaps we should have gone in for Kodjia at £15 million?

what exactly is the point here? You are pointing to half a dozen players we have bought for cheap (bar washington) and labeling "the whole set up as league 1"

No. A happy mix. Up and coming, established championship players, past premiership players on sensible money. A balance. With an experienced manager. You, I gather, are happy with the status quo. Others are not. In terms of paying money we probably have no choice by to shell out for a striker......

I think some of those players (Washington, Luongo) excelled at league 1 level while others like Cousins, Henry, Perch have shown they are well capable of playing at championship level.

We did that last time and it worked to be fair but the past Premiership players were exactly that when we went up.

I prefer this route, results will take longer but we've pretty much tried every other avenue and we haven't managed to sustain it.

Would say we are exactly where i expected us to be given our recent transfer windows and way we are trying to move the club forward.

They literally cant ever win. Sign prem players and "thats not the QPR way, we have always signed lower league gems" ...... Now they are doing that, we need to change it back again?

we need stability says every fan yet 5 minutes later they want a manager sacked after 7 league games in a new season. seem to remember how farking useless LF/TF were for not getting Clement in when Derby signed him.......How'd that work out.

People need to stop farking moaning 24/7. we are a mid table championship club. We will have periods where we exceed that reality and bounce around the prem for a few years and periods where we drop below that and spend a few years in league 1, but ultimately, i think we are a mid table championship side and will fall back to that ultimately.

Shouldnt mean we dont strive for more, but really gets to me this moaning about how we play and this god divined right people think we have to beat teams.

Luongo is more than good enough for this division. I agree El ##### is definitely not up to it and neither is Washington by the looks of it. Brentford have done pretty well considering most of their team is from lower leagues. Hogan is smashing them in atm he's from Rochdale. It's not the policy as teams have proved there's loads of decent players in lower leagues you just have to pick the right ones. Gladwin, El K.ant and Washington the jury's out at the moment.
