Luongo is a class championship player ffs. Brought some non qpr mates to Leeds game and they thought Luongo was clearly the best player on the pitch and wouldn't look out of place in Prem. Works hard on and off the ball, starts attacks and brings so much energy to the team.

He's been ill since he got back from international duty mate but is back in contention for tomorrow's match as is Polter

        PreMoney: 04/05; 05/06; 06/07 - 17, 10, 18 apps

        Post Money at City: 07/08; 08/09; 09/10 - 16, 23, 10 apps

        1 Season at Sunderland: 10/11 - 31 apps

        2 Seasons (1 and a half) with QPR pre relegation: 11/12; 12/13 - 16, 23 apps

        1 Season after Promotion: 14/15 - 23 apps

10 seasons where he made a pretty consistent amount of appearances to be honest... No change really before and after city got money.
Interesting Nas. Put another way, based on actual stats for his entire career, he is unlikely ever to appear in more than 50% of games, regardless of the team or the division.

I would say that's way too low to be Captain.

That's until you look at his championship appearances. 29 appearances first time round, 46 appearances last season. All 7 so far this season.

Absolutely 100% true. Said it at the end of last season, and said it this season, he's right now our most talented player in this squad, by quite a distance. Makes everything look easy for someone of his size and he's strong in the tackle, strong in the air, strong dribbling, smart passing. He does it all.

That was the best performance he has had at qpr, and apart from the friendly against watford a week before he has never got near that standard. Class championship player? Based on what?

Are we all talking about the same player? Strong in the air? Strong in the tackle? I apologise, i thought you were talking about Luongo!

Not sure what you expect him to do? He is a centre mid...Does his job well most games, gets stuck in and seems to me the only player who closes the opposition down. He's also an international and aussie's best player. Not the goalscoring type but a very good player for us nonetheless. Listen I know we're all upset about getting whipped by the geordie's but lets not get carried away, we do have some decent players and Luongo is one of them...deffo Championship standard imo.
