  • Make it or Break it for some teams, surely?

Villa have spent CRAZY amounts and to my knowledge haven't sold half as well as NUFC who have also spent a small fortune.

Not to forget, Derby, Norwich, Shef Weds & Brighton who again have chucked serious money at this league. If they dont go up this year, which they all cant. SURELY some if not all will be facing FFP like QPR who are at least trying to be less crazy..

Personally have no idea what the FFP rules are given the amount of cash Villa and Newcastle are splashing, but should imagine it is based on your yearly revenue etc.

I think its a load of barrlacks regardless, but still it keeps clubs on a right spending structure I guess.

Sorry, add Wolves to that immediately.

Transfermarkt has broken down the net expenditure of each team and it makes for interesting reading...

This overview shows all transfers of the Championship in the season 16/17. The clubs are ordered by their final position of the previous season.

Interesting to see that we're 4th in income behind Blackburn, Forest and Cardiff this season. Villa are absolutely f ark ed if they don't go up.

Thought Derby would have been pulled up for last season. They spent something like £25 mill. Nothing has been mentioned

I think Wolves adventures in the transfer market look well iffy.

Derby spent just under £29m last year and had zero incoming.

Newcastle are actually in profit this summer and still have Sissoko sell for around £25m either today or in January.

FFP is clearly ignored and I can see Derby being the first club under the new rules to get absolutely hammered next summer if they don't go up. A fine is of no use so I can see a points deduction.

Hasn't it been changed to the last three year's accounts?

They haven't included Bidwell or Yeni though, so about £2m in profit.

Look how much Villa are paying over market value on that table. Ridiculous.

Villa and Derby two sides who have spunked their load in hope of promised land.

Derby just bid £5mil for Grabban and £4mil for anya from Watford

My prediction is if Derby don't go up this season they will go down next year

Newcastle are flush in profit now. Another 30 million from Sissoko
