Rowlands is a big key player for us, it is a big blow to loose him, and we have been playing well since his return to the 1st team.
Do we bring in a replacement now?
Well we have Watson who is a top player and we did spend £3.5m on another player called Faurlin whom was wanted by premiership sides so I would say play him as Rowlands replacement for now and see how we do until christmas.
The otherside to that is that we are now a little weaker in the midfield section, we only have mahon as another option but i know people are not too keen on that idea.
The only other option is to sign that yakubu but that would be gamble as he may or may not fit into our side or the type of player we need. Rowlands was a great all round player so he will be missed, but I would go with Faurlin + Watson.
i'm totally gutted . as a proud plastic paddy r , i'm so proud seeing a ranger playing for ireland .he was tidy enough when he came on against the italians , he was becoming more comfortable until he got injured tonite. if anyone saw the interveiw on sky sports with gio trapattoni , you could tell how he was so disapointed and how much he thinks of rowlie . the interveiw is on skysports.com if anyone wants to see it . good luck martin , hope it's not too serious
as trapattoni says in the interview after the ireland game , his preformances and mentality is like me . i hope that gives martin a positive feeling in this worrying time
its the rep of Ireland, not eire and Croke park hasnt been used for rugby since march/april,so the surface is perfect,as good as Wembley.also it is not a rugby stadium.

Cor, sounds like a raw nerve has been hit.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.
