Always willing to give players a chance, but in terms of talent (lets not get into a debate about "attitude", because it can be a players PR firm v a clubs PR firm) who looks like the better goalscorer, Sylla or Emmanuel-Thomas? If Sylla hits the ground running then all is good, if he needs some time to bed in (like Washington, and as he is coming from abroad everything may be different for him) then I do wonder why Jimmy doesn't just bring JET back into the fold. JET is clearly is form, and if the club are riding high with enthusiasm (we have some cup games this year!!) surely it is easier to brush any disagreements under the carpet and to start afresh.

According to the article for automatic approval they have to be top 50. I am saying it will be harder to get.

Hope that wasn't aimed at me, as I am not knocking him. In my earlier post I said he needed a supply of crosses if heading was one of his main strength (video showed a few headed goals). My concern is that QPR dont seem to play with proper wingers who cross the ball into the area - what supply has Polter had?

the 25-year-old does not qualify for an automatic work permit under FA rules as, despite being being a regular international for Guinea, they are ranked outside the world’s top 50.
Instead, his application will be decided by the FA’s Exceptions Panel, who use a points system to decide whether or not a permit should be granted.
Subjective criteria used includes the size of the transfer fee, the salary the player will earn, the ranking of the league they have been playing in and whether the player has appeared in any European competitions.
The new rules were introduced by the FA last summer in order to make it harder for players from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) to secure permits, with the intention of creating more opportunities for English players.

when you consider players like Kodija are going for 15 mill to villa then I can understand why we are looking at the likes of Idriss.
Looks strong and powerful which is a;ways handy at this level! If we can ping a few balls into the box then he could be a handful after looking at his you tube clip. At 25 he will also know if he does well for a year or two with us then the riches of the prem can come calling.
