dont see how you can make a loan player captain. long term if he stays yes, i'd build the team around him, but sends out a terrible message to those who have committed their permanent futures to the club.

I think you can make a loan player a captain especially if its one you really want to keep hold off. For me its sends a clear message to the board and to Ben. Like you I would build a team around him given the chance.

Ben Watson is agruably the best centre midfielder we've had at this club since Ray Wilkins and he is a leader on the pitch you just wait and see.

I don't normally agree with w12 but on this occassion I am afraid I do. For me although I respect Cerny, I don't like a captain to play in goal. Watson puts himself about and as long as he learns from that stupid sending off then he is my man for captain.

loan player or not i say give him the band, leads by example and was always very vocal @ palarse.maybe dont feel he has the right to shout @ our players til he's either one of us permanently or is given the band.

surely our board have seen what a difference he makes and i reckon , if we can convince him he's a star man here, and he wants to come , we will sign him up.
dont see a better way than making him skip .....just my opinion.

gutted for rowley, been a top boy but think watson is the future now, also think faulin will come real good now.
