Is that player out there in our price range?? I'm sure it was supposed to be Toszer but he's disappeared.
We say Faurlin wasn't this player, but he literally exactly was... He played more passes in a game than all but 11 players in the division last season and this is considering the fact that most of the time the ball flew over his head. If anyone was the calm pace dictator, it was him.

As for who we have now, it's Luongo, but he needs someone he can trust alongside him and imo that's either Cousins or Borysuik, cousins would really help push up the whole team when played in the middle, Borysuik would hang back and let Luongo roam ahead. Right now, Luongo has to cover for Henry's lack of pace and while Henry (generally) is a solid defensive midfielder, he does tend to force his partner to stay deep with him.

Name calling too? Of course I saw Shaun Derry, he's a midfielder and he wasn't captain... The equivalent player we have now is Henry and he certainly isn't captain, nor is he against hoofing it up...

Twice a Pr@tt Adel wore the armband but anybody with half a brain knew Derry was the leader , I refer you to your earlier post regarding Faulin both him and Derry directed play

We saw mass and cousins together in the middle second half yesterday I thought they looked soft as a pairing but suppose more minutes on pitch together could change that

Fair point re Cousins but what about Borysiuk? JFH says he should return this week.

Please quit with the name calling.

Derry dictated play did he? Derry won the ball back and played it to Faurlin. Not saying that's an easy job or he deserves less respect, but it's a different job to dictating play.

As for calling me a Pra t twice, Your point was that our captain should be telling them not to hoof it up, then you call out Derry as the prime example... So instead of criticising our captain, criticise our current version of Derry.

I thought he was holding midfielder but someone said yesterday he's attacking so he could be the man

To my knowledge, he's a holding midfielder who likes to take long shots. Very classic style and relies on creativity around him. Effectively, what we'd want a fit sandro to be like.

I didn't even think of onoura I don't Onoura is captain material but I wasn't digging him out, but a captain is or should be the manager on the field not Onoura's fault he's not a captain

Not sure if that's correct - he's supposed to be a DM. No one's really seen enough of him yet, but maybe he's the type for that role.

You keep telling yourself that mate, while he leads by example on the pitch. Of all the defenders to play yesterday, he was the least deserving of giving away an own goal.

What's his o g got do with it ! If you've got a side full quality they can be lead by example but when you've got lesser players they need instructions given especially younger lower league players that have got drawn into hoofball

Exactly, and thats why I've bored the titsoff everyone for months about the problems of JFH fave set up and the lack of a decent Plan B.

JFH is also the victim of a reactionary, boom or bust fiscal policy which makes no sense. A few games in and our perceived fitness advantage is cancelled out as was always going to happen. I said a creative m/f was priority no 1, and I always knew we wouldn't find one on our budget. No one is asking for huge investment, just a sense of proportion to help the manager achieve his goals. Unless of course the board don't have the confidence to back him and its a wait and see thing. People who support the club's current position in the market can not complain about performances like the one we've just seen.

My view last term was let's see where we are 12 games into this one and review. That hasn't changed either.

Is it a coincidence that our defence looked shaky and uncertain with our captain back in the centre? Caulker looked good with Hall but yesterday he and Smithies were a mess.
