  • What an odd performance

There are no positives to take from that it was an abysmal effort from the first whistle to the last

It lacked everything the four games before had shown. Looked disjointed, uninterested and totally out of sorts

Usual reliable players were dire like mass, poulter and Smithies those we had hopes for were equally bad like bidwell (no match awareness) and cousin's. Nasser you bigged up Yeni when he signed but he was a total waste today if today don't wake him up to the English league nothing will

Henry was the only player that came out with any credit and the only person that put his foot on the ball and tried to play it

As said was an odd and bizarre performance needs putting to bed asap it was total poo

It wasn't that good. Even Naz can't talk that up.

I'm worried players are knackered from the pre season. Was some article before season started saying that our hard training could be massive plus or negative for us. Hopefully we can move on and get a cup win next week.

brother went ballistic on the phone about that performance. Tough when you've got a 4 hour trip home from LR
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

At no point in that game were we in control. Be like midweek we never got the ball out wide and attack down flanks singers were totally redundant

Calling me out and yet you're right, I had no positives other than the fact that I understand now why Ned has been playing right back and that's because perch was bl oo dy awful... Also West, call out Yeni, he wasn't good today, but you're whole player judgement goes out of the window when you say Henry comes out of that with any credit as he was easily the worst player on a pitch that had Perch on it. No tackles, played only 10 accurate passes all game and wasn't good enough in dealing with their second. And you add that luongo was dire, he was actually the only one who did anything defensively today (alongside ned to a degree who was the only average player in an awful backline). I thought Chery was lazy, I thought Cousins was too narrow (as he was the last game), I thought Smithies was poor, Caulker lacked communication with his midfield and with Bidwell and I thought Polter played far too deep but without any support from his wingers (Considering Yeni is being played as an inside out winger on the left, why is he getting no balls to run into and cut in on?) I can't even blame him for coming that deep.

I'm usually quite hopeful and optimistic, but not after that.

A brief summary for those fortunate enough to miss it:

Smithies : Made Green look competent. Single handedly cost us the first goal whilst under no pressure at all.

Perch : And we thought Ned wasn't good at right back. Shocking display.

Onouha : What he did he generally did well. Apart from the cool finish for their second.

Caulker : Not good at all.

              Bidwell : Not good either.

Cousins : Poor, but out of position.

Luongo : Lots of effort but far too weak and ineffective.

Henry : Surprisingly poor from him.

Yeni : Made me wonder what all the fuss was about. Nowhere near up to speed.

Chery : Occasional glimpse of a footballer there, but created next to nothing.

Polter : Tried, but zero service. Waste of time him being on the pitch if the others play like they did.

Washington : Looked lively eventually but lacking in confidence. If he had any at all he would have just headed past their keeper for a certain goal.

El Khayati : No worse than anybody else. Really should have scored though when he blasted over.

JFH : Not his finest moment at all. Sent out a team with no plan, no urgency and failed to do anything at all about it despite one of our worst first half performances under him, which in itself is quite an achievement. It might be harsh, but if we see anything like that at home at least again this season, he will get some proper stick. And rightly so.

Utter disgrace of a performance from start to finish and one which will hopefully be looked back upon as a one off and the game that woke him up to what he needs to do.

I'm saying its a wake up call for Yeni as this is the championship not French league and efforts from him like today will not cut it. I'm not saying he's no good I'm saying he needs to smarten up and quick

If you think Henry was worst player out their I'm shocked and have no words.

                  Spot on Henry aside

Had the feel of a performance where something had occurred before kick off never looked a team at all

it beggars belief how we can go from what youve explained above, from how we was against leeds doesnt it, surely thats goto be down to jimmys motivational skills for reasons behind todays woeful performance! Or is it down to average players who just cant keep up performances like against leeds, cos there simply not good enough even! Or maybe tiredness creeping in!

Or it's that we've played 5 matches in ridiculously quick succession... without changing the team much.
