Yes. cant have it both ways though. After failing numerous times before and having to pay managers to fark off, we finally learnt our lesson and offered JFH a contract to the end of the season. He performed "average" imho last season and clearly many on here didnt really want him to stay on.

Now after 2 league games, he commands a new contract?

    ludicrous.

people were losing their minds after we failed to beat Wycombe/Burton.

For the record, i have always backed JFH from day 1 and previous posts will support that, just saying people need to calm down a bit.

          And they shouldn't have been.

What Loftus road lad says is correct, he has done so much than what he has done on the pitch, of which has been listed by a few on here.

I've seen enough from him to be happy with the board saying... 'there ya go Jimmy, go build us further, turn us into the club we've been craving. Here's the backing and stability we've been craving. Finish this new identity you're creating.'

no they shouldnt had been. Was telling people at the time it was a friendly and they needed to calm down. just goes to show i was right then. If we keep up this run and are somehow in the top 6 come xmas, then fine, maybe look at the contract situation, but far too early to be talking about that.

              - His first season in, he gets a contract till the end of the season.
              - Every other season he gets a 12 month contract at the end of the season to take us into the next.

If someone wants him, they either meet our compensation requirements or wait until the end of the season.

If we sack him, we pay him up the remainder of the 12 months left.

              Pretty simple, no?
Only thing I can find on it is when the question was asked at the fans forum.

About 15:40 in on the youtube video. Not that it's clear in any way.

They maybe friendlies to us but not to the team and Jimmy. Works in progress is what they call em.

But hang on! If he was signed on a 12 month rolling, i.e. options each way after a year, the first renewable would be 12 months on from the date the contract was signed, no? I too seem to remember stuff about December....

Obviously a rolling contract with options and no defined dates means either side could kiss it goodbye at anytime without penalties, but if we are talking 12 months then there is no option anywhere until 12 months in.

Maybe this is just a brain fade but could someone patiently explain exactly how it works?

Fill yer boots, it really is a thoroughly damn good read mucker.

only went thru the 1st few pages as well, but the amount of meltdown.. for what was basically a nothing season at that point, is laughable. i'd bet they arent the lot that go home and away week in week out

If 't predict he somehow gets us promoted this season, I very much doubt he would be steering the ship in the premiership.

It's a very promising start to his managerial career and doing it the hard way ie lower down the leagues is incredibly commendable, I find.

He could well end up with a very long managerial career in more exalted surroundings I would think, but you can't predict anything but I do like the way so far perhaps with Les's nouse alongside with a proper finance guy holding onto the purse strings more effectively, should be the way forward for our club for as long as we can.

If we truly succeed, he would be snapped up elsewhere quickly and good luck to him - I would say !!!!!

I went to Cardiff this weekend and said to my fellow r's traveller - we need to learn not to get too excited after a great performance because who ever in the club and we are QPR - ie win big at the champions then lose embarrasingly against vauxhall motors.

So relieved I chose QPR as my team and not Barcelona !!!!!!!!! Lol.

                      It is as it is

                        So it seems.

Definition of rolling contract. A contract that continues until an agreed period of notice (amount of time before you are told that you no longer have a job), rather than until a particular date.
Rolling Contract Definition from Financial Times Lexicon

so the agreed period of notice is 12 months..... not December, not end of season. Periods of notice on rollers are often very short term, less than a year.
