  • Felt very strange celebrating our first goal

Was sat in my usual seat in an otherwise empty block and when we scored the first I actually jumped up and celebrated as though it was a last minute goal in a league game

Felt very stupid I dont mind admitting as most just clapped in the ground such was the awful atmosphere

Given how sh1t we've been for probably 20 years in the cup, are you shocked? Same at every club in this round regardless, unless you're a small club playing a bigger on.

Always thought the club should basically give away tickets for the forest round at home. Get some bums on seats at least they will probably buy something. The attendances are always awful and they can't make hardly any income on it so wouldn't be losing much. If they put on a show people would most probably return. Think it should be used as a marketing opportunity, what was the crowd last night out of interest?

Just over 5000, should have named the team earlier like a day or 2.

It does cost cash to open up parts of the ground, so not a great model to let everyone in for free so to speak.

The atmosphere has always been odd in cup games, it feels like a preseason game

Think the fans thought they were gonna be treated to a load of kids and reserves when it was near enough first teamers playing. If they knew that im sure more would have come.

Woul;d have had a tough time buying anything last night as just about every kiosk was closed including the Blue and White Club so I think they were expecting an even poorer crowd

Don't need to give away free tickets to everyone, but how about free tickets to local schools, or kids for a quid etc?

I think there was an amount of inevitability about it all last night, and no-one reaaaallyyy gave two sh1ts.

It was Swindons cup final and we all knew they were going to turn up and play out of their skin, as most lower league clubs do when they visit higher league opposition.

I personally always felt comfortable last night, didn't think we'd lose the game even when it went to pens.

As it happens the ticket pricing was VERY good last night.

That's what I meant. Obviously it costs to open the stands but the loft and SA were both open and there was hardly anyone there. Might as well at the very least try and fill the stands that you have paid to open

I thought I had joined the automatic cup scheme as I do every year but when I tried to enter the ground I got knocked back so had to buy a £15 ticket instead which was not too bad

Pensioners and kids got in for £5 I think which is great from the club

Pretty decent pricing to be fair!

This. Either free tickets or kids for a quid and adults £3-5.
That woukd at least attract an extra 3-5,000 fans.
