They will make that money back - he's one of the most marketable athletes in the world entering the prime years of his career. And I think Adidas contributed towards the fee too, they need a star at Man Utd now they make the kits. Plus he's exactly what the Utd midfield needed imo.

Same deal with Stones - 50M is a lot but if he ends up as the next Rio it will loook like good value in 5 years.

Just coming up to his 32nd birthday..........12m quid is crackers isn't it? But then again if we are using Pogba at 89m and Yannick Bolasie at 30m as benchmarks then maybe he is worth it in the current market!

regardless of who contributed or weather they make their money back on Pogba, i simply dont get it. Granted didn't watch every Juve game last year, but saw a few and yes he is a decent player, but the Euros said it all to me.

People will say, "he wasnt played in his natural position" - i would expect a 90 million pound player to command his preferred spot and the rest of the team fits around him. he couldn't push Payet out of his preferred role and know-one in their right mind is going to pay anywhere near that money for Payet.

decent player yes, but would still be concerned if my club spent half of that on him.

as for Bolasie - reckon he can be a 30 mil player on his day. All about getting a bit of consistency out of him. If Koeman reckons he can do that, then it could work for them. Bit of a gamble though.

worst of it is u get players being paid millions for just sitting on the bench , man city are paying wilfred bony £120,000 a week and he rarely gets a kick , i remember seeing luke young in wimbledon villiage with his bird they had so many bags they were having difficulty carrying them , he hadn't kicked a ball for us in about a year but could still afford the gucci and prada clothes . the PL wages are out of hand when you look at what doctors , nurses , firemen are paid to save lives . the everyday joe now has nothing in common with any of them
