  • Realistically how much for?

Britt assombalonga ? Would really set us up for a playoff push ! Lethal goalscorer can play up top on his own or in a two and a different option to polter , not sure where forest are financially ?

A lot I would have thought. In this market for be astounded if they didn't want double figures

Didn't they pay around 4/5 million for him last summer. If thats the case then we've no chance on our budget

A striker of his level would fire this team up into the mix do sure, saying that, I wouldn't drop Polter right now as he is on fire and superb for us. It's the right balance currently.

Ultimately another striker is needed and playing two up top would be rather nice, I'm just not sure why you can't with Conor and him. Surely a possibility with our strength in midfield.

In what terms? Granted we are not heavy weights but football wise how can we tell?

They paid around £5m for him plus other potential clauses. I think they're struggling financially but I'd guess nothing less than £7m would be acceptable. Under contract until 2019.

They are loaded now cos they have just taken on the expensive but useless and perma injured Traore. They wont be selling anyone to us imo.
                  Not worth a cheeky punt.

Would be perfect for our system but no chance. Big dough. I see Derby and Norwich are fighting it out for Nahki Wells another striker i really like.

Wells plays the lone striker role very well despite his size. Would be a great signing.

Historically yes I 100% agree. However right now i'd say we are a more ambitious and successful club compared to Forrest and players would feel they have a better chance of going up with us.

Why buy another striker to play the same role as Polter when in my opinion they would struggle to do much better.

Jimmy won't play with two up. Whoever comes in will suit the lone striker role, hence the reason Washington hasn't had a kick.

Cos can't see Washington being able to replace polter the way we play ! Maybe Connor and cash for assombalonga ? .... In a dreamworld
