Don't rule out the loan. Spurs may have been upping the ante, if no one else buys in at that kind of money we could still see the boy for a spell down the Bush.

Still, that is massively, massively overpricing a player.

transfer fees have gone through the roof. Did Deeney look a £20m+ player yesterday?

Imagine what they would be asking for Carroll who has played a handful of games

Spurs do like to hype a price
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Loan option could come back into play if no one bites at that price.

He probably is worth 5/6 mill in this market. Would be a great signing. However if we cant sign Pritchard I hope we are looking at the likes of Will Buckley who would fall into our price range. Championship savy, has a very good delivery on him and only 26.

Certainly makes you realise even more so now how more important its becoming to bring through youngsters and spend alot more efforts on the youth, with the way prices have become now its ridiculas, really needs to be a cap on things, mind you be good aswell if the youth start getting more chances in england!

Too good for this level. WAY better than Carrol

He should go to Swansea or Southampton or similar, or abroad

So true. Would be happly if we never dealt with them again. Levy is so dislike able.

Thing i cant work out is, with city, chelsea and united all having new managers and wanting to offload players en masse, with jfh so respected in the game he should be knocking on their door for quality loans.

Is it a good policy to loan without an option to buy?
