I think it's a natural link to make but doesn't seem to have any concrete stuff backing it.. maybe if they put it on the Offy as part of their new "In the media" section, we'll think it's more concrete. The link with Cousins will always help...

Jheez mate, that's a bit harsh to be honest.

Right, not much in terms of consistent data on him since he was gone for half the season to Colchester, but here's what I've got from Callum Harriot's 7 matches in the wide right positions.
Everything statistically is in comparison to players starting at RM or AMR for more than 6 matches last season.

                        Shooting:

So in terms of long shots, 7 players took more than him per game last season although he didn't score any. Inside the box, only 3 took more shots than him and he managed to score 3 goals from them too. In total, 2 players managed more shots on target than him and only 1 managed more shots in total than him. He is most definitely left footed, likes to cut in on his left and shoot as demonstrated by having 7 times as many shots on his left compared to his right and on the counter attack, no one took more shots than him per game, managing a shot resulting from a counter attack every 3 games approximately, which is also the case from open play where again, no one managed more shots from open play per game than him.

                        Dribbling:

By quite a distance, no one has attempted more dribbles per game than Callum Harriot, however he was unsuccessful more often than not. Irrespective, that didn't stop him having the second most successful dribbles through sheer volume of attempts which is a positive, but he does need to work on his consistency and I do fear that coming to LR, if he does try to beat a man unsuccessfully as often as he did before, the fans won't give him much of a chance (Phillips is my biggest reminder of the ruthlessness from fans towards unsuccessful dribbles). Just adding that again, because of volume of attempts, he also had the most unsuccessful dribbles per game. In terms of unsuccessful touches, he's got the 5th most from that position, but bear in mind the amount of times he gets the ball (demonstrated by his dribbling attempts) and it's fairly understandable, especially when quality players like Canos, James Henry and Tom Ince have all had similar amounts.

                        Passing:

There are 47 players who have played RM or AMR in the Championship for over 6 games last season. Callum Harriott came 28th for passes attempted, very middle ground. He doesn't stray far from that position on total accurate long balls and inaccurate long balls, going to 22nd and 26th respectively. The same is the case for short passing where he's hit 25th in accurate short passes and a very good 34th in inaccurate short passing, which suggests good quality on the ground. Just by comparison, Matt Phillips came in 36th, 31st, 19th, 41st, 18th for total passes attempted, long pass successful, long pass unsuccessful, short pass successful, short pass unsuccessful. Harriott is definitely an improvement in this department. Where things start to differ is when you look at crossing. Last season, Harriott hit the 25th most accurate crosses but the 31st most inaccurate crosses which is a good sign of his cross quality, but perhaps he should attempt more. This is understandable given his left footedness on the right hand side and if he does come, we may be relying more on the left side of midfield to do the crossing. Just as a comparison, Matt Phillips hit the 9th most accurate crosses and the 8th most inaccurate crosses. Lots of attempts, similar accuracy.
We do start seeing the issues with Harriott in his key passes, only hitting the 36th most key passes per game. Obviously, without the quality up front, he's not going to be able to hit many as it is, but this is an area where he'll need to improve, though again, he seems more of the cut in and shoot winger than the crosser.

Defensively, he's very middle ground on just about everything so not much to comment on there. But yea, that's what I know about Callum Harriott beyond just watching him play. The kid is a great talent and his working relationship with Jordan Cousins will help both of them develop here successfully. He's better than League One where he is right now and he'd fit our system well. Fingers crossed that this actually happens.

Yeah mate, I remember Pellicori scored against Exeter in the cup in a 5-0 win. I remember that because I was completely shocked
Priskin scored one against Preston in a 2-2 draw at Deepdale.
