I think the attitude that you should never try to play at a higher level or at a better team if you are not sure you are going to be number 1 there is total bullsh!t.

That would have been ok, if he had left us earlier or later but not 90 minutes before end of transfer window.

I think that there is a mistake in assuming he knew he wouldn't be number one. Few players ever thinks that. Players trust their ability and feel like they could take the starting spot. He got it wrong but I can't say he was wrong to take the move.

He can only take an opportunity when it's presented to him. He owed us nothing, he scored goals when we asked him to, he got us loan money when we needed him to, he even played the opener that season with Charlie when we wanted him to. When he got the opportunity to go to a top team, he chose to do what he wanted to for once.

            I fully agree this.

Yes, like I said I understand his motivation to develop himself as a player, but I don't need to be his fan.

no1 is saying be his fan. Think most Rangers fan dont really have an opinion on him anymore. Just another player to pass through the club.

Certainly cant blame the bloke for the timing of his departure being so close to the end of the window. If it was "too late" for him to go, the club should have stopped it.

Deschamps told him he'd get a chance to play for France in the Euros if he was at a bigger club.

Sat on the bench at a bigger club when he could have started every game for us in the PL that season and had a partnership with Austin who got in the England squad.

The bloke is sheer class on the field....totally wasting away as a second fiddle striker IMO

Thought he'd been killed in nice. Poor timing from the op. Also has it's totally unrealistic made me think the worst
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Class player but not gonna play in the championship. Would only be fit for about 10/15 games anyway and probably blow our entire striker budget.

Lol as if there's even a remote possibility he would even consider coming back to us in the championship. He should go to Arsenal, he's quick, good finisher, and French, perfect for them

Plus frequently injured. Almost too perfect for them. Remembering him, makes me think of that awesome goal he scored , from outside of area .
